Governor Riek G*i Kok Establishes 10 New Payams in Twic East County

Bor, Jonglei State – The Governor of Jonglei State, H.E. Riek G*i Kok Diang, has issued a gubernatorial order establishing 10 new Payams in Twic East County as part of efforts to strengthen local governance and improve service delivery.

According to the order, the newly established Payams and their administrative headquarters are:

1. Kongor North Payam – Headquarters: Payom Town
2. Kongor South Payam – Headquarters: Pawel Town
3. Ajuong North Payam – Headquarters: Paliau Town
4. Ajuong South Payam – Headquarters: Pawiel Town
5. Lith North Payam – Headquarters: Pabarchikok Town
6. Matjak Payam – Headquarters: Kanychuk Town
7. GuengKeer Payam – Headquarters: Aliau Town
8. Wangkar Payam – Headquarters: D**g Town
9. Pakeer South Payam – Headquarters: Merjak Town
10. Pakeer North Payam – Headquarters: Maar Town

The gubernatorial order also provides for the establishment of Bomas under the newly created Payams to strengthen grassroots administration and bring government services closer to local communities.
