Apuk-Lith Football Team Management Meets Gen. Gregory Deng Kuac Ahead of WSPT Grand Final

The management of Apuk-Lith Football Team met with Gen. Gregory Deng Kuac on Wednesday morning to discuss the teamโ€™s challenges ahead of the grand final of the Warrap State Peace Tournament (WSPT).

Gen. Gregory commended Apuk-Lith for its strong performance throughout the tournament and urged the management and players to remain committed, disciplined and united as they prepare for the decisive match.

He reaffirmed his support for the team and pledged to assist within his capacity. He also encouraged the players to maintain their team spirit, fight for the trophy and make the Apuk community proud.

The delegation that met with Gen. Gregory included Teng Madut Teng, Team Spokesperson; Chan Thiik, Team Speaker; and Athian Wol, Team Adviser.

Meanwhile, the teamโ€™s Finance Secretary, Deng Lual, highlighted several challenges facing the team, including shortages of mattresses, food supplies, drinking water, transportation costs for training sessions and playing boots.

The management said the needs require urgent attention, particularly as Apuk-Lith is expected to continue its participation in the Bahr el Ghazal Counties Tournament (BCT) following the conclusion of the WSPT.

The Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament (TMPT) Management is pleased to inform all concerned teams that the Office of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Central Equatoria State, Juba, has officially lifted the temporary ban previously imposed on community tournaments in Juba.

Accordingly, all community peace tournaments are now permitted to resume immediately.

The above-mentioned teams are hereby advised to prepare and remain ready for the remaining matches of the TMPT 2026, including the Final and Third-Place Playoff.

The TMPT Management is working diligently to finalize the match schedule. The official dates and venues will be communicated to the respective teams as soon as they are confirmed.
