South Sudan Wins Big in Vivacell Court Case

The Government of South Sudan has won a major legal victory in an international court case against Vivacell (Network of the World). The company had demanded $2.9 billion from South Sudan, but the court reduced the amount to just over $48 million. The government says this shows the strength of its legal team and its commitment to fairness and the rule of law.

The Minister of Information said the case was tough and could have hurt the countryโ€™s economy. But the government stayed strong and protected the interests of the people. Lawyers are now reviewing the courtโ€™s decision to decide the next steps.
