🚨BREAKING: Former Finance Minister Marial Dongrin Ater Released from Detention

Former Finance Minister Marial Dongrin Ater has reportedly been released from Blue House detention and placed under open arrest at his residence, according to family sources.

He was arrested on 26 February 2026 in connection with corruption allegations and remained in custody until his reported release on 20 May 2026.

Family members further claim that his release followed the tragic death of his daughter in Nairobi, Kenya, while he was still in detention. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement confirming the circumstances surrounding his release or current legal status.
