Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has rebutted allegations by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa that he was responsible for the killings in Kerio Valley during his tenure as Rift Valley Regional Commander.

Natembeya accused some leaders of sponsoring armed groups in the North Rift, fueling conflicts among local communities. He dismissed Ichung’wa’s accusations as baseless and out of touch with the reality on the ground.

"K**a hii ndio advice the President anapata, then he has no advisers at all. The communities in the North Rift have guns, and when they fight, even the police cannot move closer.
