APPEAL FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.
Awach Adhieu who is affected by localised sclerotic disease that has totally caused inflammation in her skin appealed for public assistance for the treatment.
Awach who is 22 years old and sat for CSE under ASEP program in 2023 is suffering from morphea, a disease that affect underlying tissues such as fat, muscle and bone but not internal organs. It's distinct from systemic scleroderma, often appearing as smooth, discolored plaques or linear streaks (like 'en coup de sabre' on the face), and while usually harmless, can impact mobility and growth in children. Treatment focuses on controlling inflammation, with early diagnosis crucial to prevent damage.
Awach went to Juba for treatment but was thoroughly advised to seek treatment abroad, most especially in Egypt 🇪🇬. Due to her financial status, she couldn’t afford to facilitate her treatment and her parents seemed powerless to help out as well. She appealed for financial assistance from family and friends and other well wishers.
