Massive thanks to Kajo-Keji Local Football Association for the able leadership
The NRC - Norwegian Refugee Council has donated 10 footballs, 4 Manual substitution boards, and 6 stopwatches to support the ongoing Kajo Keji County Christmas Cup tournament. This year’s competition features 16 male and 8 female teams, with girls participating for the first time in the county’s history.
Rikaju Julius, the President of Kajo Keji Local Football Association, expressed his sincere gratitude to Norwegian Refugee Council, Kajo Keji Field Office under the leadership of Mr. Mori Moses, the Field Coordinator for the generous contribution towards the tournament.
The President highlighted that this support comes at a crucial time and is instrumental in ensuring the tournament's success. The President also stated that the competition has already fostered a strong sense of unity among the youth, with active participation from many individuals from the various Refugee camps.
The President urged other partners to emulate the example set by NRC, emphasizing the significant positive impact the tournament has had on the community as the initiative has fostered peace-building efforts, with youth actively engaged and residents showing great enthusiasm for the event. The President called for further support from other partners to help the FA continue to organize and expand its sports activities, reinforcing its potential to drive community cohesion and youth empowerment.
