قراءة من رسالة القديس بولس الرسول إلى أهل رومة (٥: ١-٥)

أيها الأخوة،
لما بررنا الله بالإيمان، نعمنا بالسلام مع الله، بربنا يسوع المسيح ؛ وبه دخلنا بالإيمان إلى هذه النعمة ، التي فيها نحن قائمون. ونفتخر بالرجاء لمجد الله. ولا يقتصر الأمر على ذلك ، بل نفتخر بشدائدنا نفسها، لأننا نعرف أن الشدة تلد الصبر، والصبر يلد الإختبار ، والإختبار يلد الرجاء ، والرجاء لا يخيب صاحبه ، لأن الله سكب محبته في قلوبنا ، بالروح القدس ، الذي وهبه لنا.
