Speaking with deep concern, Awach stated that he was born and raised in Korok and remains committed to the well-being of his people. He described Korok as the second-largest community in Northern Bahr el Ghazal and emphasized that the Korok Community Chairmanship is a non-political institution whose primary purpose is to unite and serve the people.
