🚫 Two-stroke engines, commonly found in motorbikes and rickshaws, run on a gas-oil mixture and are considered highly polluting.

BREAKING NEWS: National Ministry of Youth and Sports Announces New Measures to Regulate Community Tournaments in Juba

The National Ministry of Youth and Sports, in collaboration with State and Administrative Area Coordinators and the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), has announced new measures to regulate community tournaments following a high-level meeting chaired by Hon. Dr. Joseph Geng Akech, Minister of Youth and Sports.

The move comes after the Minister banned all community tournaments in Juba effective 2026, citing rising incidents of violence among fans and officials.

The Ministry acknowledged the vital role of sports in promoting peace, social cohesion, and national unity. However, officials noted that recent community tournaments in Juba have been overshadowed by incidents of violence involving fans and sports officials.

To restore order and ensure compliance with the South Sudan Sports Development Policy 2024, the meeting resolved the following:

1 - Decentralisation of Tournaments: Beginning in 2026, all community tournaments will be hosted in their respective States or Administrative Areas.

2 - Special Requests: Governors or Chief Administrators may submit formal requests should they wish to relocate tournaments to the national capital.

3 - Mandatory Registration and Approvals: Organisers of community tournaments must register with and obtain prior approval from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Ministry will coordinate with relevant sports federations and law enforcement agencies to guarantee safe, peaceful, and professional competitions.

The Ministry emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the spirit of sports while preventing disruptions that undermine the values of unity and peacebuilding.

🚨 LEARN THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEW RULE:

1. No extra time β€” straight to penalties: If a knockout match is tied after regular time, instead of playing extra time, the match would go directly to a penalty shootout.

2. Top 8 advantage: Teams ranked in the top 8 (presumably after the league phase) would play the second leg of their knockout ties at home, giving them a potential advantage.

3. No same-country clashes before the quarterfinals: Clubs from the same country would not be allowed to face each other until the quarterfinal stage or later.

JIENG MADING AWEIL

Mading Aweil is a inhabited by two Tribes namely; Jieng and Luo and so to say Jieng Mading Aweil imply there's another tried in Aweil.

The Jieng Mading Aweil are popularly known by various names which are
Malual Buoth Anyar
Malual Akot Tong
Malual Giernyang
Or just Malual Dinka.

Jieng Malual is part of Jieng Rek found in Aweil and Warrap State.
It is the largest Jieng section numbering approximately 2 million making them larger than the whole Jieng Upper Nile combined and rivaling the Nuer tribe in population as well as surpassing Shilluk and Azande tribe by big margin in fact if it were its a separate tribe Jieng Malual would fall third as the largest tribe in South Sudan after Nuer.

Jieng Mading Aweil inhabit the area bordering Western Bhar El Ghazal in SouthWest , Warrap state to the East and Abyei to the NorthEast.

Jieng Mading Aweil originally had two Major sections before further divisions was made. They were;
1. Palieupiny Malual
2. Pajook Malual

Palieupiny was the entire geographical location of Aweil West and Aweil South from Ayat Riiny Lual chiefdom to Buoncuai Geng Ariath, which in essence is the area south-south west of the Lol River.

Palieupiny itself has two sections

a. Palieupiny which is the 5 cheifdoms of Aweil West
b. Paliet Wek Anyet which is the 3 cheifoms of Aweil South.
With time Palieupiny became associated with Aweil West and Aweil South popularise the name Paliet into mainstream societal categories of Jieng Malual thus creating two distinct sections of Palieupiny Malual.

2. Pajook Malual
The second section of Jieng Malual is Pajook and it's divided into two, which are ;

a. Malual Tueng which basically is the whole area covering the North side of Lol River comprising of all 5 Aweil North chiefdoms including part of Ayat Riiny Lual.

b. (I) Abiem Malual
Abiem is the current geographical area of Aweil East comprising of 10 cheifdoms which is NorthEast of the Lol River making it part of Pajook rather than Palieupiny since the division is based on which side of the Lol River one falls on.

b (II). Awan Pajook
Awan Pajook of Gogrial West is part of Abiem Pajook however it was transferred to Gogrial West in 1947 but they maintained the name Pajook to this date hence excluding be an incomplete historical account of Pajook Malua.

Jieng Malual is an extension of Rek section of Jieng. They are purely 100% Rek however due to their numerous population doubling that of Rek in Warrap State and the evolution of the dialect they are seen as a separate section of Jieng which couldn't be farther from the truth.
Most of Jieng Malual trace their lineages to Gogrial and Tonj.
The question of dialect often raised by people disputing Malual being Rek is meaningless and irrelevant. Awan Chan and Kuach speak closer to Malual more than to Tonj does that make them non-Rek? Dialects evolve and so its irrelevant and erroneous to use this argument to dispute the historical fundamental fact. It is completely baseless unsubstantiated argument that lacks critical analysis of the history of Rek and Malual.

The next time we will list all 23 cheifdoms of Jieng Malual. This article is merely focused on two major sections and their subsections.
