ππππ, πππ π, ππππ β His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit left Juba this morning for Djibouti to participate in the inauguration ceremony of H.E. Ismal Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti.
While in Djibouti, the two leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks to bolster the relations between the two countries, with emphasis on both economic cooperation and regionally stability.
It's worth noting that South Sudan and Djibouti share the same vision for peace, stability, and economic growth in the Horn of Africa.
With Djibouti holding strategic geoeconomic position as the doorway of the international community, there are tremendous potential that would translate into an enhanced opportunity for South Sudan especially to gain an improved access of seaports and facilitated export of goods while boosting integration in the region.
Officials say President Kiir's presence at the ceremony cements South Sudanβs commitment to forging stronger partnership, regional cooperation, and promoting prosperity in the Horn of Africa.
