President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania should know that her country is not heaven in East Africa.

A response to her recent decision.

I have been waiting for the response from our country regarding the recent letter by the president of Tanzania that banned other citizens of East Africa from working in her country.
Since our government has not been able to respond to this mischief, I will at my capacity as Deputy Mayor of Juba City Council.

Diplomatic relations are for the benefit of the Countries and if one Country does not acknowledge this fact, the other one must take the serious decision in order to stand her ground.

A letter from H.E Samia Suluhu Hassan should have been responded by South Sudan's top leadership to clearly tells her that if she doesn't want our citizens to work in her Country, we should respond by doing the same thing to their citizens, simple and clear.

Her letter undermined the regional coexistence and must be met with same image. Which Country doesn't host each other's citizens in East Africa? Why is Tanzania acting like a King in the block? Tanzania should find other avenues to exercise their ego not with citizens' regional rights.

Our Ministry of Foreign affairs should not silence on matters that undermined our Country's sovereignty.
No Country should overlook other when it comes to matters of diplomacy.
There is no bargaining in disrespect.
We must stand our ground as citizens and leaders of South Sudan 🇸🇸.

Leadership Crisis in Kuac Ayok: Community Urged to Remain Calm

The current leadership of Kuac Ayok Community has declared the planned executive leadership installation set for July 31, 2025, in Kuajok town as illegal and divisive. The event, reportedly led by Gen. Aleu Akol Malaak and Paramount Chief Joseph Kuol Amet Kuol is said to lack legitimacy and violates the community's agreed transition timeline.

The official leadership, scheduled to hand over power on December 27, 2025, is urging citizens to remain calm, avoid divisive rhetoric, and prioritize peace and farming activities during the current season.

The government of Warrap State is being called upon to cancel the planned meeting and uphold the State of Emergency declared by the President. Concerns have been raised over the legality of the organizing committee and the exclusion of many community members currently unavailable to attend.

Any unrest resulting from the July 31 gathering will be the sole responsibility of the organizers.

Fellow Citizens,

Today, we gather across our beloved nation to solemnly mark the Martyrs Day, a day of profound remembrance and national reflection. On this 30th of July 2025, we honor and pay eternal tribute to the brave men and women whose selfless sacrifice laid the foundation for our freedom, dignity, and sovereignty.

Twenty years ago, we lost our visionary leader, Dr. John Garang de Mabior, a founding father whose footsteps led us through the struggle for liberation. His legacy, along with those of countless martyrs, continues to guide our path toward peace, unity, and national development.

Let us use this day not only to mourn, but to renew our commitment to the ideals for which they gave their lives justice, equality, and a united South Sudan. We must continue to uphold their vision by fostering reconciliation, enhancing security, and building a prosperous nation for generations to come.

To the families of our fallen heroes and heroines, we say this: your loss is the nation’s loss, and your loved ones will never be forgotten. Their names are engraved in the heart of our history and in the soul of our nation.

As we raise our flag today, let it remind us of the price of our freedom and the responsibility we bear to protect it.
