BREAKING NEWS: President Salva Kiir has revoked the appointment of Martin Mabior Mawien as Undersecretary in the Ministry of Information, Communication, Telecommunications, and Postal Services and replaced with Ustaz Mawien Bulabek Chol.

The revocation came after an old voice recording surfaced in which he spoke out against the government. His political opponents circulated it following his appointment.

Warrap State Governor Sparks Nepotism Claims After Appointing Son as Revenue Chief

Warrap State Governor Gen. Magok Magok Deng has stirred controversy by dismissing State Revenues Authority Commissioner Abraham Makuek just 18 days into his tenure, replacing him with his eldest son, Deng Mangok (aka Deng Mariel).

Critics have condemned the abrupt move as nepotistic, raising concerns over transparency in a key financial role. Governor Magok, appointed earlier this month by President Salva Kiir Mayardit, has yet to justify the reversal or address public scrutiny.

The family house of Gen. Akol Koor kuch‚ the former intelligence chief has been attacked this evening at 8:00pm by some men in military uniform who entered and claimed to have been ordered to raids the house in search of guns and other weapons. Fortunately‚ they didn't get any weapons, and they started shooting at random within the compound‚ which left Gen. Akol Koor’s cousin Mayom Koor Mayom wounded‚ and he is currently in critical condition.

According to the reporter‚ he sustained an injury in his belly or abdomen.

Twic Mayardit graduates' leadership has officially announced a home graduation ceremony for the batch 2019_2024.The event is scheduled to take place on 25th February 2025, and the agreed venue Akoc payam

Our main goal of this farewell ceremony is to promote the importance of higher education and encourage parents, and drop out students and pupils in Twic County to pursue further studies.

Graduates from various universities in South Sudan and neighbouring countries and diaspora are invited to participate .

Malek Awutiak (Jakey) and Pap Chol (Smoke) have been called up for South Sudan U-20's provisional squad in the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations - CECAFA Qualifiers 2024 in Tanzania.

Twic Mayardit's young skillful and talented footballers got their call-up for national duty — Malek Awutiak received his first call-up while Pap Chol on his third call-up to the South Sudanese U-20 team.

Malek Awutiak plays for Black Eagle FC in the second division and Pap Chol plays for Kator FC in the first division of Juba Local Football Association (JLFA).

Apart from their respective football clubs, Malek Jakey also plays for Akoc and Pap Smoke plays for Turalei in Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament (TMPT) in Juba. Moreover, both play for Twic Mayardit football team in Bahr El Ghazal Counties League (BCL) in Juba.
