🛑 BREAKING: Horizon Business Centre Committee Apologizes to President Kiir Over Program Error.

Juba, South Sudan — The Organizing Committee and Secretariat of the Horizon Business Centre Inauguration have issued an official apology to President Salva Kiir Mayardit for a typographical error in the event’s printed program that mistakenly referred to Vice President Gen. Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF).

The Committee explained that the mistake occurred during last-minute revisions to the program after President Kiir delegated Vice President Bol Mel to represent him at the ceremony.

Upon discovery, the organizers made an official correction announcement during the event, attended by senior government officials and dignitaries, reaffirming proper protocol and respect for the high offices concerned.

In a statement, the Committee expressed deep regret over the oversight and extended apologies to the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice President, and all guests present. It further pledged to prevent similar errors in future official communications.

🛑 BREAKING: President Kiir Orders Crackdown on SSPDF Officers from Tonj

Juba, South Sudan — President Salva Kiir Mayardit has reportedly instructed the Chief of Defence Forces of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF) to launch what sources describe as “the mother of all crackdowns” targeting both senior and junior officers hailing from Tonj.

According to Kanybil Noon, Colonel Bol Ayii Deng became the first officer from the Tonj community to be arrested following the political declaration made earlier today by his cousin, Nhial Deng Nhial.

General Paul Nang Majok allegedly accused Col. Bol Ayii Deng of supplying weapons to the Red Belt group in Bor, a claim that some sources describe as unsubstantiated.

Reports suggest that the broader aim of the directive is to remove Tonj-origin officers from key SSPDF positions, amid suspicions of potential political alignment with Nhial Deng Nhial.

Col. Bol, who serves as Commander of Mobilisation at the SSPDF headquarters in Giada, was reportedly detained under the new directive.

Further arrests are expected as the crackdown intensifies.
