In a statement released on 6 June 2026, Ajok said she became the target of suspicion and criticism after Malong joined the rebellion in 2018. She revealed that she was unaware of her husband's decision when reports first emerged and denied allegations linking her to political activities or security agencies.

BREAKING: Aweil North Youth Association Election Cancelled

The election of the Aweil North County Youth Association has been cancelled despite voting being completed and votes verified.

According to ADNA Report, the Electoral Committee Chairperson cancelled the election after one of the outgoing leaders reportedly released the results before the committee officially announced them.

Under the association's electoral rules, the Chairperson has the authority to suspend an election if serious irregularities are found that could affect the outcome.

The Electoral Committee has said a new election will be organized, but the date is yet to be announced.

She claimed the decision was influenced by "corruption" and "pressure," though she did not provide evidence or identify those allegedly involved.

"I won Best Dancehall Artist, but honestly my heart says Young Bullet or Joker NBA deserved the award," Lady Kola wrote. "They really deserve it."

The singer said receiving the award did not feel meaningful because it did not reflect what she described as the artists' actual work and achievements. She added that she would not publicly celebrate the win despite being declared the category winner.

Kiir walks through rain, mud to greet supporters in Warrap

President Salva Kiir Mayardit arrived in Warrap State on Friday evening, stepping out of his vehicle at Tharkueng, the border between Warrap and Western Bahr el Ghazal states, to greet supporters and officials despite persistent rain and muddy conditions.

The president’s arrival drew large crowds who lined the Wau-Kuajok road, waiting for hours under heavy clouds and rainfall. Instead of remaining inside his motorcade, Kiir walked through the mud to shake hands and acknowledge residents, government officials, community leaders, and supporters gathered at the border crossing.

Photos released by the Office of the President showed Kiir on foot alongside senior officials and security personnel as he made his way through the reception area. The turnout reflected strong local interest in the president’s visit to his home region.

According to the presidency, thousands of citizens from communities along the route braved the weather to welcome the Head of State. Men, women, youth, and elders waved flags, sang songs, and cheered as the convoy moved from Wau toward Kuajok.

The visit is part of Kiir’s engagements in the Bahr el Ghazal region, with the reception at Tharkueng highlighting the significance many residents attached to his return to Warrap.
