Food for thought by Emmanuel Mandella/ Mc Chukude Ba Junior Young Journalist from South Sudan 🇸🇸🇸🇸
One important lesson I learned from China is that development begins with mindset and cooperation.
When someone starts a successful business, others don’t fight him they learn from him, improve their ideas, and create opportunities too, that is how growth comes.
China also opened doors for investors by using their land wisely. They invited investors, created partnerships, and made sure local people were trained to manage the industries and machines even after the investors leave. Today, the country is among the world’s biggest economies because they focused on development and learning.
Back home in South Sudan, especially in Western Equatoria, we can also do the same. Instead of keeping land idle and undeveloped, let us attract investors, create opportunities, and promote the positive image of our state.
As youth, let us stop using social media only for exposing people, gossip, insults, and negativity. Why can’t we use the same platforms to promote opportunities, business ideas, talents, tourism, peace, and development?
Imagine if every youth started sharing positive stories about Western Equatoria our beautiful land, culture, agriculture, and opportunities.
Investors, donors, and partners would begin to see potential in our state.
Let us use our energy to build, not destroy.
The future of our state depends on the image we create today.
