-An open letter to: H.E, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic South Sudan and the Chairman of the SPLM party.
The SPLM ruling Party has never appointed an SPLM political cadre (s) into the National Government positions from the former Southern Liech State ( Leer, Mayiandit and Panyijiar Counties) and particularly from Leer County, the hometown of Dr. Riek Machar.
The writer is an SPLM cadre from Lakes State cde Magok Mabor Majok and is here by reminding the SPLM ruling Party under his H.E, the President, that in the world of today modern politics, the following political strategies are applied to encounter the major political rilval:
1. Encountering a major political rival in his or her/their hometown or his/her stronghold political support requires applying a mix of strategic games to weaken their foundation, challenge their loyalties, and build an alternative cadres/leaders by bringing up a brilliant socio-political cadres, who will use services delivery based mass mobilizations to neutralize the opposition political supports.
To achieve this objective, i humbly request H.E, Gen. Slave Kiir, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the SPLM to step in by appointing one of the Leer County cadre to represent the SPLM political interest in the hometown of Dr. Riek Machar.
2. H.E, the President can also use the Wedge & Horse-Trading Game political tactic: that said, do not directly attack the rival's ideologically and physically in their backyard. Instead, isolate specific local problems that your rival has ignored/failed on providing it to its supporters. Use targeted benefits, like jobs creation, build infrastructures, and support services delivery institutions e.g.
(health care centers, schools and energy sources etc) "This is literally about instilling or imparting your political objectives in a very smart way to eliminate your rival survival strategies" and to bring the socio-political opinions of the local leaders over to your side.
This mirrors exactly the (bargaining to give to get) or to secure win-lost relationships with the influential voters.
3. Run a political counter-insurgency "revolution from below" by identifying the rival's disgruntled supporters and deal with them one by one or in a group to fulfil their socio- political interests and this can never be achieved except through the cadres from Leer County.
4. Identify marginalized civic organizations, youth groups, or rival factions and build coalitions with them to counter the rivalโs established power in his/her hometown through your political appointees/elected cadres in that community, if this strategy is applied by the SPLM, then it would reduced the influence of the SPLM_IO in the former Southern Liech State .
5. You can also Cluster the support around the attractive local alternative leaders, those who are popular within this community. Instead of focusing all the heat on yourself as an outsider, empower local voices who are fed up with your rival's monopolitics assumption support.
Let the local leaders challenge them on the ground while you back them up, fracturing the illusional of your rival's traditional voting base.
6. Run a highly targeted political voter campaign strategies that actually going to give you an upper hand political Win in would be December 2026 national elections by providing fact-based solutions (like addressing a specific utility crisis in public goods and services through your appointed cadre) or on the areas where your rival's local leadership might have failed to resolve. In this case if the SPLM want to encounter its main political rival in his hometown stronghold (s), it must relies heavily on building strong connected cadre to serving constituents' interest, rather than attempting to a hostile takeover of these areas particularly in Leer County the hometown of the opposition leader (Dr. Riek Machar).
Therefore, the SPLM should understand the unspoken rules of the power struggle which is essential to avoid getting played by the opposition "power machines".
Because of the above enumerations, Power everywhere is normally an ability to influence and transform people lives by providing essential public services to disqualify the opposition ill will campaign against your ideology and objectives.
Conlusion; I recommend to H.E, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit to oppoint one of the following SPLM political cadres from Leer County into a National lucrative position:
1. Hon. Riaw Gatlier G*i, former:
a. Member of the Council of States Republic of the old Sudan 2010/2011
b. Chairperson Committee on Finance and Economic Development Affairs in the Council of States 2011/2014.
c. Deputy Minister of Interior 20216/2020
d. Member of Transitional National Legislative Assembly 20216/2021 and
e. currenct Member of the Council of States.

2. Hon. Franco Duoth Dieu. Former:
a. Commissioner of Leer County.
b. Deptu Governor of Southern Liech State
c. Minister of Land and Physical Infrastructure in the Southern Liech State. D. A member of the SPLM
3. Samuel Mayian Gatdin
Former: a. Member of Unity State Legislative Assembly 2010/2013.
b member of Southern Liech Sate Legislative Assembly 2016/2019.
