الرئيس سلفا كير يدعو المواطنين إلى التسجيل بكثافة للانتخابات ويؤكد أن الاقتراع هو الطريق الوحيد للانتقال السلمي!!

دعا رئيس جمهورية جنوب السودان، سلفا كير ميارديت، المواطنين إلى الإقبال بكثافة على التسجيل في سجلات الناخبين فور انطلاق العملية، مؤكداً أن الانتخابات تمثل الهدف النهائي لاتفاق السلام المُنشط والطريق الوحيد لتحقيق انتقال ديمقراطي سلمي في البلاد.

وخلال مخاطبته حشداً جماهيرياً في ملعب واو بولاية غرب بحر الغزال، الجمعة، شدد كير على التزام حكومته الكامل بتنفيذ اتفاق السلام المُنشط لعام 2018، الذي وضع حداً لحرب أهلية استمرت خمس سنوات.

وقال الرئيس مخاطباً المواطنين: «الانتخابات هي طريقنا الوحيد نحو انتقال سلمي للسلطة، لذلك أدعوكم إلى التسجيل بأعداد كبيرة عندما تبدأ عملية تسجيل الناخبين، حتى تمارسوا حقكم الديمقراطي في اختيار قياداتكم».

وأكد كير أن السلام سيظل على رأس أولويات الحكومة رغم التحديات السياسية التي تواجه البلاد، مضيفاً: «مهما سمعتم أو قيل لكم، تذكروا دائماً أن السلام هو أولويتنا القصوى».

وشهدت مدينة واو استقبالاً حاشداً للرئيس، حيث احتشد آلاف المواطنين على جانبي الطرق وفي محيط الملعب، رافعين الأعلام ومرددين الأغاني والهتافات الترحيبية أثناء مرور موكبه في المدينة.

ونُظم التجمع الجماهيري بواسطة حكومة ولاية غرب بحر الغزال بقيادة الحاكم شريف دانيال شريف، بمشاركة قيادات أهلية وممثلين للشباب والنساء والمجتمعات المحلية، إلى جانب مواطنين قدموا من مختلف أنحاء الولاية.

وفي جانب آخر من خطابه، دعا الرئيس المواطنين إلى استغلال موسم الأمطار الحالي لتعزيز الإنتاج الزراعي وتحقيق الاكتفاء الغذائي، مشدداً على أهمية العمل والإنتاج في مواجهة التحديات الاقتصادية.

وقال: «علينا أن نتمسك بقيمة العمل الجاد، وأن نزرع أراضينا، ونقضي على الجوع، ونوفر الأمن الغذائي لشعبنا».

JONGLEI STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES 25KM D**E REHABILITATION IN ADUAR, JALLE PAYAM; CALLS ON CITIZENS TO RETURN HOME FOR RESETTLEMENT

Aduar, Jalle Payam, Jonglei State

The Government of Jonglei State, in collaboration with United Nations partners, has officially launched the rehabilitation of a 25-kilometer d**e in Aduar, Jalle Payam, aimed at strengthening flood protection and supporting the safe return and resettlement of displaced communities.

The project focuses on repairing 21 critical weak points along the Aduar Jalle d**e, a key flood defense infrastructure that protects lives, livelihoods, and public facilities across the region. Authorities noted that any major breach along the d**e could cut off the northern parts of Jonglei State from the south, where most humanitarian and relief supplies originate.

Speaking during the launch, Hon. Justice Kuony Nyuon Kuony , State Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairperson of the Jonglei State Flood Management Committee, called upon displaced residents to return to their homes as flood conditions continue to improve.

We are encouraging the people of Jonglei State to return to their homes and begin the process of resettlement. The situation has significantly improved, and this project demonstrates the government’s commitment to protecting communities from future flooding.

Hon. Manyal Riek Rial, State Minister of Roads and Bridges and Deputy Chairperson of the Jonglei State Flood Management Committee, expressed appreciation to H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Jonglei State Governor Dr. Riek G*i Kok for their continued support toward improving services and protecting vulnerable communities.
The launch of this 25-kilometer d**e rehabilitation project paves the way for UNOPS contractors to immediately begin repairs on the identified weak points. The work will restore the structural integrity of the d**e and enhance protection for communities across the area.

South Sudan 🇸🇸 has made another oil discovery in the Al-Nahla field, located in Blocks 3 and 7 of the Paloch oil fields.

One well in the area is already producing about 5,440 barrels of crude oil per day.
