Yesterday October 27, 2025, a delegation from Smooth Star Academy led by the Managing Director, Molana. Samuel Gumwel, and the Deputy Head Teacher, Mr. Samuel Majok, held a cordial meeting with the Honourable Minister of Education, Central Equatoria State – Juba.
The purpose of the meeting was to officially present an invitation to the Honourable Minister to attend the magnificent upcoming Cultural Day Celebration organized by Smooth Star Academy.
During the meeting, Mr. Gumwel expressed his gratitude to the Minister for his thrilling continuous support towards educational development in the state and highlighted the importance of cultural events in promoting unity, peace, identity, and moral values among students/pupils.
Mr. Majok further explained that the Cultural Day will showcase the diverse traditions, dances, and customs of various communities in south Sudan represented at the school, fostering peace and prestigious understanding among learners for future co-existence.
In response, the Honourable Minister of Education warmly accepted the invitation and commended the school administration for their commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and cultural awareness.
He promised to grace the event inorder to encouraged the students/ pupils and staff to continue promoting discipline, creativity, and cultural pride.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with mutual appreciation and hopes for continued collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Smooth Star Academy in advancing quality education in Central Equatoria State.
