BREAKING NEWS!!!

South Sudan appears to be sliding rapidly back into open conflict after the SPLM-IO announced the launch of a full-scale war against the SSPDF.

In a dramatic escalation, SPLA-IO forces have overrun several key SSPDF military positions in Northern Unity State. According to confirmed reports, Division 4, Sector 2 of the SPLA-IO has seized control of SSPDF bases at Pakur, Thorabiat, Tharwayiela, and Jamus Bridge, dealing a significant blow to government forces in the region.
The operation has been officially confirmed by SPLA-IO spokesperson Colonel Lam Paul Gabriel, who described the offensive as successful and ongoing.

The situation on the ground remains volatile and highly uncertain, raising fears of a wider military confrontation as tensions spiral. Further details are expected as events continue to unfold.

BREAKING NEWS: South Sudan Government Accused of Running Kangaroo Court Against Vice President and Allies

In what many are calling a blatant display of political persecution, South Sudan’s Minister of Justice has announced that the First Vice President, Dr Riek Machar, alongside seven senior SPLM-IO figures, will soon stand trial on a barrage of charges that critics insist are nothing more than a smokescreen for silencing dissent.

The government claims the accused will face charges of murder, treason, conspiracy, financing terrorism, and even crimes against humanity. The list extends further, including alleged destruction of public and military property and incitement of violence in Nasir County. Yet, many observers argue that these charges reek of fabrication and political theatre, designed to crush opposition under the guise of justice.

The authorities insist the trial will be “open to the public”, but with the government firmly in control of the judiciary, scepticism is rife. Analysts are already warning that this so-called “public trial” is little more than a kangaroo court — a calculated spectacle orchestrated by the state to legitimise its crackdown on political opponents.

Those due to be paraded before the court include:

Dr Riek Machar, First Vice President

Puot Kang Chol

Lt. Gen. Gabriel Duop Lam

Mam Pal Dhuor

Gatwich Lam Puoch

Brig. Gen. Camilo Gatmai Kel

Mading Riek Yak

Dominic Gatgok Riek

The move has already sparked outrage, with critics warning it could plunge the fragile nation further into chaos. By criminalising its political rivals, the South Sudanese government appears to be tightening its grip on power at any cost, risking renewed instability and violence.

This latest development exposes a deepening crisis: rather than pursuing genuine justice or reconciliation, Juba seems intent on weaponising the courts against its opponents, undermining both peace efforts and the rule of law.

Just In

Chaos has erupted after a late-night exchange between Hon. David Amour Majur, Press Secretary in the Office of the President, and Josephine Adhet Deng, spiralled into a full-blown legal battle.

The saga began with what appeared to be an online spat that migrated from Facebook comments to a heated phone call. Adhet, who recorded the conversation, has since filed a criminal case against Amour, despite being the first to lob insults during the exchange.

In the viral audio clip, the voice of Hon. Amour, who, according to several witnesses, was allegedly intoxicated at the time, can be heard recklessly declaring in his mother tongue:

“If you come, I will beat you, and I will add your mother and your father too.”

The aggressive outburst, delivered in a fiery and unmistakably drunken tone, has shocked many who expect better decorum from a senior government official.

In a twist of defiance, Amour is now reportedly preparing a counter-case against Adhet Deng, accusing her of unlawfully recording him without consent.

The entire fiasco, which originated from petty online comments, has since escalated into a national embarrassment. The Criminal Justice Department has already written to the Office of the President on behalf of Adhet Deng, but the chief administrator has yet to respond.

For now, the public is left baffled: how did a Facebook quarrel between a press secretary and a private citizen descend into criminal charges, counter-charges, and a scandal that risks tainting the very image of government?

BREAKING: President Salva Kiir Sparks Outrage with Nepotistic Appointment

In a move that has sent shockwaves through South Sudan’s already fragile political landscape, President Salva Kiir has appointed his daughter, Adut Salva Kiir, as the country’s Special Envoy - a position previously held by Vice President Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel. The controversial announcement, broadcast on state-owned SSBC, has drawn widespread criticism, with many questioning the president’s judgment and accusing him of nepotism. Analysts warn that this decision risks deepening political chaos and further undermining confidence in South Sudan’s governance.

BREAKING: Dr Riek Machar Exonerated Following Multinational Investigation

JUBA, South Sudan — In a dramatic turn of events with far-reaching political implications, South Sudan’s First Vice President, Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, has been formally cleared of all allegations levelled against him by the ruling SPLM-In Government (SPLM-IG).

The announcement came following the conclusion of a multi-agency investigation led by delegations from the African Union (AU), the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the East African Community (EAC), all of whom arrived in Juba earlier today to present their final findings.

The inquiry, which was initiated by President Salva Kiir Mayardit and conducted over several months, examined allegations surrounding Dr Machar’s role in a recent series of violent confrontations — including the fatal incident involving General Majur Dak. However, the investigating teams reported finding no evidence implicating Dr Machar in either the planning or ex*****on of the events in question.

On the contrary, the final report commends Dr Machar’s efforts to de-escalate tensions and mediate between conflicting parties. It alleges that the South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF) and allied Agwelek forces acted unilaterally, disregarding calls for restraint and contributing to the escalation that led to bloodshed.

Government sources have confirmed that preparations for Dr Machar’s release are already underway, including the reactivation of his official motorcade and the reinstatement of his administrative functions.

Speaking from Juba, AU representatives called upon the Government of South Sudan to seize the moment to “embrace peace and dialogue,” warning that continued instability threatens to unravel the fragile progress made since the signing of the revitalised peace agreement.

“This is a pivotal moment for South Sudan,” said one senior AU official. “The path forward must be built on reconciliation, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to national unity.”

The imminent return of Dr Machar to government is expected to ease internal tensions within the transitional unity government. Analysts suggest the development could serve as either a catalyst for renewed political cooperation or a stress test for deeper, unresolved divisions within the peace process.

The international community is closely monitoring the fallout, with diplomatic missions and foreign observers calling for restraint and urging all parties to recommit to the tenets of the 2018 peace deal.

As South Sudan stands at yet another political crossroads, the spotlight is firmly fixed on Juba — and on whether its leaders will choose confrontation or consensus.

BREAKING: General Manasa B**g Dies in Juba

JUBA - The family of General Manasa B**g has confirmed his passing this morning in the South Sudanese capital, Juba.

According to family sources, the late General, described as a father, grandfather, and mentor, died after months of unsuccessful attempts to secure a meeting with President Salva Kiir Mayardit. His efforts were reportedly hindered by what the family described as “interference from J1 brokers”.

General B**g had publicly appealed for a meeting with the President via a widely circulated video released over seven months ago. Following the video's publication, Minister of Information Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth is said to have met with the General and pledged to facilitate the meeting. However, the promise reportedly went unfulfilled.

The circumstances surrounding the delays and obstacles remain unclear, and no official statement has yet been issued from the government.

May he rest in peace.
