Renk County Commissioner Lays Foundation Stone for Youth Centre

Renk- 9th September 2026

This morning, The Commissioner of Renk County laid the foundation stone for the Renk Youth Centre. The event was witnessed by Mr. Motwakil Mamour Deputy Chairperson of SSNYU, Mr. Arang Yel Deng Chairperson of Upper Nile State Youth Union, Community leaders and youth representatives.

The Commissioner called for unity among youth and pledged support to all youth activities, stressing that youth should focus on peace and stability

Hon. Motwakil Mamour also called for allocating of 10% from oil companies to develop agriculture and small industries in Renk to create jobs. On the other hand, Arang Yel Deng declared that the Centre will be a platform for dialogue, production, and peace.

The Leadership of South Sudan National Youth Union appreciates the commissioner of Renk County and the leadership of Upper Nile State Youth Union for their dedication to youth development.

أصدرت الإدارة العامة لشرطة المرور في جنوب السودان توجيهات صارمة تمنع ضباط وأفراد المرور المنتشرين في شوارع العاصمة جوبا من فرض أو تحصيل الغرامات المالية مباشرة من سائقي المركبات، مع حصر إجراءات المخالفات ودفع الغرامات في مقر شرطة المرور بمنطقة بولوك.

وقال مساعد المفتش العام لشرطة المرور، الفريق كون جون، إنه وجّه جميع ضباط المرور وضباط الصف العاملين في شوارع جوبا بعدم تحصيل أي مبالغ مالية من السائقين في مواقع المخالفات، مشددًا على ضرورة إحالة أي سائق يخالف قواعد وأنظمة المرور إلى مقر الإدارة في بولوك، حيث تُستكمل الإجراءات وتُفرض الغرامة بصورة رسمية.

وبحسب التوجيهات، لن يكون مسموحًا لشرطي المرور مطالبة السائق المخالف بدفع الغرامة في الشارع، في خطوة تهدف إلى إخضاع عمليات التحصيل للإجراءات الرسمية وتعزيز الرقابة على التعاملات المالية المرتبطة بالمخالفات المرورية.

وحذّر كون جون عناصر شرطة المرور من مخالفة التعليمات، مؤكدًا أن الإدارة ستتخذ إجراءات تأديبية بحق أي ضابط أو فرد يثبت تورطه في تحصيل الأموال من سائقي المركبات في الشوارع.

وأوضح أن توثيق أي شرطي أثناء تحصيل الأموال، أو تقديم شكوى بحقه بشأن الواقعة، سيقود إلى اعتقاله وإحالته إلى محكمة الشرطة لاتخاذ الإجراءات التأديبية اللازمة.

وتضع التوجيهات الجديدة مسؤولية أكبر على عناصر المرور في الالتزام بالإجراءات النظامية عند التعامل مع المخالفين، كما تمنح سائقي المركبات أساسًا واضحًا للاعتراض على أي مطالبة بدفع الغرامات مباشرة في الطرقات والإبلاغ عن المخالفات المنسوبة إلى أفراد الشرطة.

وتأتي الخطوة في وقت تمثل فيه نقاط التفتيش والتعامل المباشر بين شرطة المرور والسائقين أحد أبرز أوجه الاحتكاك اليومي في شوارع جوبا، فيما تسعى الإدارة إلى ضبط عملية إنفاذ قوانين المرور والفصل بين تسجيل المخالفة وتحصيل الغرامة المالية.

وبموجب التوجيه الجديد، تصبح الرسالة واضحة للسائقين وعناصر الشرطة على حد سواء: المخالفة تُسجل في الشارع، لكن الغرامة لا تُحصّل هناك، وإنما عبر مقر شرطة المرور في بولوك وفق الإجراءات الرسمية.

South Sudan Proposes SSP 184 Billion for Elections

South Sudan’s government has proposed SSP 184 billion for pre-election activities and the planned December 22, 2026 general elections, as part of an SSP 11.34 trillion budget for the 2026/27 financial year.

Finance Minister Kuol Daniel Ayulo told Parliament on Tuesday that the budget will prioritize SSP 2.71 trillion for capital expenditure, SSP 2.71 trillion for mandatory payments, SSP 1.43 trillion for wages and salaries, SSP 1.33 trillion for goods and services, SSP 933.4 billion for transfers and grants, and SSP 63.33 billion for subsidies and benefits.

By sector, the proposal includes SSP 1.187 trillion for infrastructure, SSP 927.4 billion for public administration, SSP 721.1 billion for rule of law, SSP 710.89 billion for security, SSP 513.1 billion for education, SSP 371.5 billion for health, and SSP 406 billion for natural resources. Other allocations include SSP 244.3 billion for accountability, SSP 508.8 billion for economic functions, and SSP 17.74 billion for social and humanitarian affairs. Other payments account for SSP 5.728 trillion, or about 51.1% of the budget.

Ayulo said oil revenues are projected at SSP 9.01 trillion, accounting for about 80% of expected revenue, while non-oil revenues are estimated at SSP 2.32 trillion.

The proposed elections would be South Sudan’s first national general elections since independence in 2011. President Salva Kiir Mayardit recently signed a constitutional amendment removing the requirement for a permanent constitution and national census before elections.

However, the National Elections Commission has warned of funding and logistical challenges. The budget remains subject to parliamentary scrutiny and approval.

عُيّن اللواء أتيم سلفا كير قائداً جديداً لقوات الحرس الرئاسي المعروفة باسم «تايقر» التابعة للقوات الخاصة في جنوب السودان، خلفاً للواء دينق مدينق، وفقاً لمصدر مطلع على القرار.

ويأتي التعيين عقب ترقية اللواء أتيم سلفا كير مؤخراً، فيما يُنتظر أن يستفيد من خبرته في مجالي الاستخبارات والعمليات الأمنية في قيادة الوحدة التي تُعد من أبرز التشكيلات العسكرية والأمنية في البلاد.

ومن المقرر أن يباشر القائد الجديد مهامه رسمياً اعتباراً من غدٍ الأربعاء، مع توقعات بأن تركز المرحلة المقبلة على تعزيز القدرات العملياتية، وتحسين التنسيق الأمني وتطوير خطط الوحدة المتعلقة بحفظ الأمن.

وتُعد قوات «تايقر» من التشكيلات التي تؤدي أدواراً مهمة ضمن المنظومة الأمنية والعسكرية في جنوب السودان، في ظل التحديات الأمنية التي تشهدها البلاد.

There is no truth whatsoever to the allegation. Both advocates were not arrested, and the circulating post is misleading and should not be relied upon.

بعد أشهر من الاحتجاز.. أوغندا تسلّم جنوب السودان جثماني جنديين قُتلا على أراضيها

سلّمت السلطات الأوغندية في منطقة يومبو جثماني جنديين من قوات دفاع شعب جنوب السودان (SSPDF) إلى مسؤولين من جنوب السودان، بعد بقائهما لعدة أشهر في مشرحة مستشفى يومبو الإقليمي للإحالة، في قضيتين منفصلتين ارتبطت إحداهما بتوترات حدودية بين البلدين.

وجرت عملية التسليم عبر نقطة أفوجي الحدودية، وفقًا لمحافظ مقاطعة يومبو المقيم، الحاج سليمان لوبواما بوكيا، الذي أوضح أن الجثمانين ظلا محفوظين في المشرحة إلى حين استكمال ترتيبات تسليمهما إلى الجانب الجنوب سوداني.

وبحسب السلطات الأوغندية، يعود الجثمان الأول إلى العريف دانيال أجولي، البالغ من العمر 27 عامًا، والذي قُتل برصاص قوات أمن أوغندية في ديسمبر 2025، على خلفية اتهامات بالسرقة.

أما الجندي الثاني، الذي لم يُكشف عن اسمه في المعلومات المتاحة، فقُتل في أبريل 2026 خلال تبادل لإطلاق النار مرتبط بنزاع حدودي بين أوغندا وجنوب السودان.

وتكتسب عملية تسليم الجثمانين أهمية تتجاوز جانبها الإنساني، بالنظر إلى حساسية الحوادث الأمنية التي تقع على طول الحدود المشتركة، خصوصًا عندما يكون أطرافها عناصر من القوات النظامية، وما قد تتركه مثل هذه الوقائع من انعكاسات على المجتمعات الحدودية والعلاقات الأمنية بين البلدين.

ويأتي تسليم الجثمانين بعد أشهر من بقائهما في الأراضي الأوغندية، ليغلق جانبًا إنسانيًا من القضيتين، بينما تبقى ملابسات مقتلهما، ولا سيما حادثة تبادل إطلاق النار المرتبطة بالنزاع الحدودي، من القضايا التي تبرز أهمية التنسيق بين جوبا وكمبالا لمنع تحول الاحتكاكات المحلية على الحدود إلى توترات أمنية أوسع.
