South Sudan is a country full of opportunities. Jobs are available in various sectors, including transportation, security, supermarkets, and companies. However, the painful reality is that many South Sudanese graduates and citizens remain unemployed, while some of these positions are filled by foreigners, even in jobs that require basic skills and were meant to support local citizens.

It hurts even more when South Sudanese finally get employed but are paid unfair salaries that don’t match the economic reality of our country. This is where the system is failing us. There are no strong regulations to guide foreign companies on proper payment structures, workers’ rights, and fair treatment. Many employees suffer because companies set wages without accountability.

We are not against foreigners working in South Sudan but priority must be given to citizens, especially for jobs that locals are fully capable of doing. Our government must step in, enforce labor laws, protect local employment, and regulate salary standards across all companies whether foreign-owned or citizen-owned.

This is a cry for fairness.
This is a call for the protection of South Sudanese workers.
This is a stand for dignity, equality, and economic justice.

Let us build a system where opportunities truly benefit the people of South Sudan first and where every worker is paid according to the value of their work and the reality of our economy.

DRESSING MATTERS IN OUR WAY OF LIVING

The way we dress is not just about fashion it reflects our values, identity, and respect for ourselves and others. In every society, clothing communicates a message before we even speak.

As a married woman, dressing should reflect maturity, dignity, and responsibility. It is not wise to expose your body in ways that attract unnecessary attention, especially when you have already committed yourself to marriage. Marriage comes with honor. When a woman dresses in a way that creates confusion about her status, it can send mixed signals to those around her.

At the same time, young men must also take responsibility for their behavior. No one should justify disrespect simply because of how someone is dressed. Self-control, discipline, and moral character define a real gentleman not impulses. However, we cannot ignore the reality that appearance influences perception. The way we present ourselves affects how others approach us.

Today, dressing has lost much of its meaning because trends are followed without thinking about cultural values and long-term consequences. We must bring back the principle that clothing is a form of communication. Let it communicate respect, wisdom, and honor.

In our way of living, dressing truly matters. It shapes perception, protects dignity, and strengthens the values of our families and society. Let us dress not just to impress, but to express who we truly are.

Congratulations on your admission to the university.
However, my dear brothers and sisters, as you celebrate joining colleges like Medicine, Business Administration, Law, Journalism, and others.

But remember University is not high school, where you can cheat and still get a good grade. There is no cheating or easy success. It requires commitment, discipline, and sacrifice to graduate.

So celebrate, but reduce the excitement and face reality early. Focus on your studies and work hard for your future.
