In a continuous efforts of promoting youth activities, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony met with renownedwrestler, Mr. Loku Lo-Bun,who recently brought glory to theStateby triumping over Mathem Agutchot on the just concluded SPLA 43RD Anniversary. In a special push for the wrestling activities,the Governor donated two motorbikes to the association to help them ease their mobility issues as they discharge on their activities.
The leader of Terekeka Wrestling Association,Mr. Emmanuel Kidia as accompanied by Hon. Bush Buse ,the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports discussed ways of strengthening wrestling as a sport that promotes unity and cultural heritage.
The meeting focused on addressing challenges facing the association, including limited mobility and funding. Despite these constraints, the association leader reaffirmed readiness to work with the state Government to find joint solutions and expand wrestling activities.
Governor Adil reaffirmed his continued support for youth empowerment and pledged backing for wrestling programs that foster peace, unity, and social cohesion.
The Governor also unveiled plans to publicly recognise Mr. Loku Lo-Bun during an upcoming wrestling event slated to take place in Terekeka, disclosing Governmentโs efforts to host a wrestling match between the State and the neighbouring Lakes State.
The meeting was also attended by Hon.Latio Ramba,Minister of Roads and Bridges and Hon. Alex Lotiyu Elia, Minister of Animal resources, Fisheries and Tourism, with all pledging a United front towards propelling wrestling activities as a catalyst for peace and unity.
