BREAKING‼️Abyei Residents Close Borders between Sudan and South Sudan Due to Election Statement by Khartoum Regime.

The people of the Abyei Administrative Area have closed the main border posts between Sudan and South Sudan on Tuesday morning to protest against a statement made by Khartoum about the elections in the region.

The protest was prompted by an announcement made by the Sudanese authorities that residents of Abyei would not be able to take part in the general elections in South Sudan in December 2026.

The protests show that the people of Abyei reject Khartoum’s claim and demand their right to take part in the vote. The leaders of the demonstrations stated that Khartoum’s position was "unacceptable" and "violating the rights of the people of Abyei to self-determination."

The community emphasized that Abyei has a long-standing history with South Sudan, and they must be allowed to cast their votes in the elections.

"We will not allow Khartoum to control our lives," said one of the protest leaders.

The closure of the borders has suspended all trade and human traffic between Sudan and South Sudan, as many people are now concerned about the trade and security in the region.

FIRST KICK HAPPENS TO BE THE LAST KICK. WARRAP STATE GUBERNATORIAL SEAT. KUAJOK.

Should the elections happen this December, the Warrap State Gubernatorial seat contest will be the most interesting to Watch keenly.

Governor Amb. Bol Wek will have high chances of retaining the SPLM ticket, Aluel Garang Garang/(Peter Mayen [PLP]) having served in the deputy governor position will likely not want to go back and serve in the Council of state she will definitely want to vie for the same gubernatorial position under PLP, should the SPLM stick with Agoth the likes of Hon. Ariech Mayar Ariech and Ustaz Luis Anei will go solo on an independent ticket or defect to another political party.
Those of Hon. Cde Bol Deng and Hon. Madit Kuol Nhomrom will decide to form or stand on In Opposition Party (IOP) tickets of Par Kuol for gubernatorial seat in Kuajok.

Since Tonj South, Tonj East and Twic would have produced candidates in the above manner, but the SPLM may strategically fronted a popular candidate as a flag bearer from Tonj East constituency No.11 or Twic constituency No. 2 respectively.

However Candidates from Tonj South, Tonj East and Twic will be the contenders but any of the above who will go with a popular running-mate from Gogrial West, Gogrial East or Tonj North stands high chances of winning it.

Polling stations will decide on this same watch.
Regards.

Economic Cluster lifts SSP 10 million bank withdrawal cap

JUBA — The Economic Cluster, chaired by Vice President Dr. James Wani Igga, has lifted the cash withdrawal cap that restricted individuals, companies and government bodies to SSP 10 million per transaction.

The limit, imposed by the Bank of South Sudan in September 2024, required withdrawals above SSP 10 million to be handled via bank transfers or electronic payment channels. The cluster announced the reversal after reviewing proposals on economic recovery, public sector salaries and fiscal sustainability presented by Finance Minister Dr. Daniel Akech Thiong.

Cluster spokesperson Lily Albino Akol said the Bank of South Sudan and the Ministry of Finance were directed to urgently meet with commercial banks to agree on implementation details.

“The cluster resolves to lift the restrictions on withdrawal,” Akol said, adding the change is intended to restore full access to cash for customers.

The cluster also agreed to reinforce earlier government decisions on non-statutory tax exemptions as part of a broader package of economic recovery measures.

Former Amiol Gemdit Youth Chairperson Reportedly Detained by National Security

W***y Angok Ngor, the former Chairperson of Amiol Gemdit Youth Association, has reportedly been detained by officers of the National Security Service (NSS) at the Blue House, according to a family member.

The source said Angok was summoned by National Security on Thursday morning. Upon responding to the summons, he was allegedly detained.

According to family members, the reported detention is linked to a recent video in which Angok, an SPLM member, called on his party to prioritize improved healthcare, education, electricity, and road infrastructure in Twic County. In the video, he argued that public support should be earned through tangible service delivery and meaningful development.

National Security authorities have not yet publicly commented on the matter or confirmed the reasons for the reported detention.
