Being a Dinka really scares people, for you to get married to a dinka girl you must date a girl for some good 7 years to study failure to do so, her parents won't let you marry her.

And the relationship must be known by the brothers of the girl, when to go for a date or where to stand and talk sweet words with the girl

You must have 45+ Cows to marry the girl plus 10 cows to be given to her brother apart from the dowries you will give to parents of the girl.

Dating at night wasn't allowed, you and the girl herself are given a free time maybe 3hrs to sit under any tree and date while you're being watched by the people either the parents of the girl or your parents.

NEWS UPDATE: Governor Lobong Calls on Miners to Give Back to Ngauro
Ngauro, Eastern Equatoria | 2 September 2026 — Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has called on mining companies in Ngauro to respect local authorities and ensure communities benefit from mining activities.

He urged companies to drill their own boreholes, protect community water sources, keep gold-processing activities away from rivers, and restore mining pits after excavation.

The Governor also asked companies to support the Ngauro–Kapoeta road rehabilitation and provide more boreholes under their corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Companies operating directly from Juba were urged to coordinate with state authorities for registration, community sensitization, and a more conducive operating environment.

The companies pledged to address community concerns and honour their CSR commitments.

“Mining must bring development to the people, not hardship,” Governor Lobong emphasized.
