What are we celebrating?

Are we not provoking,
Those who died fighting for One People, One South Sudan—
Now a tribal state?
Where's the "Unity" we voted for?

What has this independence
Brought to us?
Other than division,
Hatred,
And endless suffering.

Government turned against citizens it supposed to protect.

A country that was once called the "Garden of Eden" by Late father Dr. John
Is now a living hell on earth.

A country where civil servants go a year without salaries—
Is this the country our fathers fought for?

What are we really celebrating?

What have we achieved 14 years later ?
Other than look-alike hospitals
With no medical services,
Poor roads,
And an education that's the poorest ever .
God save my country!

Was NO TO UNITY, YES TO SEPARATION the biggest mistake we ever made ? Yes! You and I know the answer.

Because if not,
Where's the Unity,
Dignity,and
Integrity we fought for?

Date 06/July/2025.

Subject: OFFICIAL NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF CCFF-JUBA AND DIS FUNCTIONALIZATION OF ITS ACTIVITIES.

On my own behalf and of the Executives and members of Cueibet County Football Federation-Juba, this letter serves as a notification of the decision to dissolve the federation effective from the date of today 6/July/2025.

After an extensive deliberation and consultation with the relevant stakeholders, it has been determined that the federation can no longer continue with its operations due to a power struggle between Gok Youth Union-Juba and Football Federation. This decision was ratified by Lakes State Coordination office and majority of the voices from the community during the meeting held on 6th of July 2025.

Therefore, all the current operations including competitions, administrative duties and affiliations will cease from the date of today and the sport activities will be carried out by Gok Youth Union-Juba.

In this regard we are going to conduct a press conference(Live Video) making a report on finances contributed by the individuals, community and friends of Gok.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the community, players, sponsors and supporters for their years of commitment and contribution to the development of sport through our federation.

Finally, to my executive members, the word thank you won't be enough. But what we have done to this great community would be remember as a history of our journey. Once again thank you so much for being honest and committed to your community service.

Seventh-day Adventist Church Burned, Worshipers Beaten in Twic County

Turalei, Twic County , Saturday, July 5, 2025

A Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Pandit Amiol Village, Turalei Payam of Twic County in Warrap State, was burned down on Saturday morning at around 8:00 AM.

According to local sources, the attack appears to be a case of religious persecution. The assailants not only targeted church members but also destroyed several personal belongings, including Bibles, shoes, sandals, mobile phones, and the church’s sound system used during worship.

More than 50 church members were beaten during the attack, including women and children. At least 11 people, including the district pastor, sustained serious injuries and are receiving medical attention.

We are unable to share photos of the victims at this time due to Facebook Community Standards and privacy policies.

Unity State health official warns of possible suspension of services in Panyjiar

The Director General in the Ministry of Health in Unity State, John Mut, has warned that health services in Panyjiar County could be suspended following the rejection of a newly appointed County Health Director (CHD).

Mr. Peter Yoah was recently appointed as CHD by Governor Riek Bim Top, but his appointment was rejected by both the Panyjiar County Commissioner and the SPLM-IO health secretariat, who continue to back the former CHD, Mr. Bany Makon.

In a statement, the Director General warned that without an officially recognized focal person, health operations in the county could come to a standstill.

“The health services in Panyjiar County will halt immediately if the county and SPLM-IO authorities continue to endorse the former CHD and reject the one appointed by the state government,” he said, stressing that the Health System Transformation Program (HSTP) is a government-led initiative that requires coordination with legitimate state-appointed officials.

Authorities are urging law enforcement agencies to treat the incident with utmost urgency and seriousness, citing it as a clear violation of the country's laws and moral fabric.

The crime involved the brutal gang r**e of a young girl, which was further aggravated by the recording and circulation of the act—an additional offense described as "character assassination." These combined crimes, according to officials, warrant severe legal consequences.

The severity of sentencing will consider several factors, including the victim’s age, the nature of the assault, and the deliberate attempt to humiliate the victim through video exposure.

Update: Disturbing reports reveal that some of the suspects have been secretly deployed to a war zone in Nasir, sparking outrage and raising serious concerns over justice, accountability, and possible attempts to shield the offenders.
