LAKES STATE DAUGHTERS HAVE MADE HISTORY IN SOUTH SUDAN;
1. First South Sudanese female Paramount Chief in the 1920s was H.R.H. Chief Anak Mathiang Luac, overall Gok Community Paramount Chief.
2. First South Sudanese University graduate from the Prestigious University of Khartoum was late Victoria Yar Arol, Late daughter of the late Gok Dinka Paramount Chief, Arol Kachuol Jok; Yar was followed by Deborah Agok Deng from Yirol, with whom she later on contested political constituency elections.
3. First female Revolutionary commander (Anya-Nya one and SPLA), Ager Gum Akol (RUMBEK CENTRAL).
4. First South Sudanese female international Commercial Airliner Pilot, Aluel Bol Alueng (YIROL).
5. First popularly democratically elected South Sudanese female governor, Hon. Nyandeng Malek Dielic ( CUEIBET/Lakes State born, raised and educated but married in Twic/Warrap State.)
6. First South Sudanese female elected Member of Western Australian Parliament (the first in Australia), the young Ayor Makur Chuot (PAGARAU - YIROL EAST).
