Sometimes, we trust someone and decide to tell them a deep secret. It could be something funny, weird, or a little embarrassing. We think they’ll understand and keep it to themselves. At first, they do. They listen and say nice things like, “Thanks for telling me” or “It’s okay.” You feel better and think, “I’m glad I told them.”
But later, they go out and get drunk. And the next time they see you, something strange happens. They don’t say anything—but they just look at you and shake their head. Not in a mean way, but like they’re thinking, “Wow, I still can’t believe what you told me.”
Now, every time you’re together, they look at you and shake their head again. Maybe they laugh a little. Maybe they just smile. But they keep doing it, and it makes things weird.
You start to feel awkward. You wonder, “Did I share too much? Are they judging me now?” Even though they didn’t tell anyone, their actions make you feel embarrassed. It’s like they can’t forget what you said, and now they look at you differently.
The secret becomes something funny and awkward between you both. You try to laugh about it, but inside, you feel unsure. You think twice before telling anyone else a personal story again.
The lesson? Be careful who you tell your secrets to. Some people might not handle it well, especially when they’re drunk. They may not say anything bad, but their actions—like shaking their head—can say a lot.
