BREAKING: President Salva Kiir Mayardit has reappointed Gen. Dr. Paul Nang Majok as the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF), replacing Gen. Dau Aturjong Nyuol, who served in the position for only 3 months and 1 day according to the Republican decrees read on state-owned TV, SSBC on Wednesday evening.

Gen. Dr. Paul Nang Majok has now made history as the first person to be appointed twice as Chief of Defence Forces and also as the most academically qualified officer ever to hold the position in the history of the SSPDF.
