SDA FIRE INCIDENCE. A Warawar Seven Day Adventist church was set ablaze by a drunkard and run to the near bush. Nobody knows his whereabout.

This happened On Friday evening 13/06/2025 at 10:00 PM. Both the church and office were burnt to ashes. Fortunately no casualties were reported. No comment from church leaders or local community leaders as this is a developing story. Investigations are still going on and more information will be provided.

South Sudanese pilot Samson Ohide killed in airstrike in Sudan

South Sudanese pilot Samson Ohide has died after the aircraft he was co-piloting was hit in an airstrike in Sudan’s Darfur region.

Ohide was aboard a privately owned Kenyan-registered plane that had been contracted to deliver supplies to Nyala, a city under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The aircraft was reportedly struck by suspected Sudanese Armed Forces warplanes while offloading cargo on the ground at Nyala Airport on Saturday, a source told Hot in Juba.

The strike is said to have killed several others, including RSF personnel and other crew members on the flight. While the RSF has yet to issue a statement, sources from the Sudanese army confirmed the attack.

At the time of his death, Ohide was serving as Secretary General of the South Sudan Pilots Association. Tributes have since flooded social media, with family, friends, and colleagues remembering him as a kind and hardworking pilot. He served as a co-pilot on the ill-fated flight.

We are writing to express Our deepest disappointment and condemnation of the recent post that the Acting Governor of Warrap State, H.E Aluel Garang Garang have suspended the state revenue authority commissioner, Mr. . Please kindly disregard the post (Fake News). However, does the exact opposite by spreading fake news and inciting violence. the owners of the fake circulation are termed as enemies of peace and this is unacceptable and goes against the very principles of responsible personality and Government of Warrap State.

Furthermore, using your platform to promote segregation and division is harmful to the community you claim to serve and the State at large. The media has the power to bridge gaps and bring people together, not drive them further apart.

We demand that you immediately remove this post from your social media platforms and issue a sincere apology the Acting Governor of Warrap state and the public at large. Let us warn the source of this fake news and the media who might have shared, You must take steps to ensure that such hateful and fake content without offical document is not posted on your platforms in the future.

We appreciate and acknowledge the positive understanding in disregarding this post by the public. It is heartening to see individuals from the same Government turning to hate others progress and this must stop.

The newly appointed Governor (before he is sworn in) and the Acting Governor of Warrap State, H.E Aluel Garang have no intention to suspend anyone without any charges against him/her and without the attached documentations.

Plane crash claims 19 lives, 2 critically injured

A plane with 21 people on board, including the pilot, crashed shortly after takeoff from Unity Oil Field while heading to Juba. The accident claimed 19 lives, leaving two survivors in critical condition.

Among the deceased are both the pilot and co-pilot.

In response, the state government has sent a delegation, including the Minister of Information, to the crash site to evaluate the situation.
