New Songs Celebrate South Sudan’s 14th Independence Anniversary and Founding Visions

Juba, South Sudan , In honor of South Sudan’s 14th Independence Anniversary, Dub Reggae, in partnership with the Junub Ai Suno Group, is proud to announce the release of two powerful new songs this Sunday, with full production support from Jamedia TV and Junub Aid Media.

These songs are more than just music they are a tribute to the spirit of freedom, the vision of our leaders, and the unity of our people.

🎶 The Songs to Be Released:

1. “14 Years of Independence”
A high-energy reggae anthem celebrating the journey of South Sudan since its declaration of independence on 9 July 2011. The song highlights the pride, resilience, and hope of the nation’s people and their continued pursuit of peace and prosperity.

2. “Vision of Dr. John Garang PhD and Dr. Riek Machar PhD”
A deeply reflective piece honoring the legacy and political vision of Dr. John Garang de Mabior, architect of the CPA, and Dr. Riek Machar Teny, advocate of self-determination. The song calls for unity, justice, and the fulfillment of the dream they once envisioned for South Sudan.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: The Blood of Our People Is on the Hands of This Government

I speak today not just as an artist or public figure, but as a grieving brother and son — a witness to the unspeakable pain of losing loved ones at the hands of a government that was supposed to protect us.

My younger brother, Charlieth Tut KUOL, and my family member, Dual Kuol Deng Thiep, were brutally killed during military operations in Phom, New Fangak County. They were civilians — innocent, unarmed, and undeserving of such a fate.

This is not war. This is state-sponsored violence.

Our government, instead of defending its citizens from external threats, is turning its guns on its own people. It is killing the very men and women it claims to represent. This is a betrayal of our constitution, our independence, and the sacred right to life.

How can we celebrate 14 years of independence while our brothers and sisters are buried in silence?
How can we raise our flag with pride, when it flutters over mass graves filled by government bullets?

We are tired. We are angry. We are mourning.

As a South Sudanese citizen, I blame this government for the bloodshed in Fangak and across the nation. I hold it accountable for turning peaceful communities into battlegrounds. I condemn the targeted killing of civilians, the destruction of homes, and the silencing of our voices.

Let the world hear us: We will not be quiet while our people are slaughtered.

To my fellow citizens, I say — speak up. To the leaders of this nation, I say — your actions will not be forgotten. History will remember not just those who pulled the trigger, but those who stayed silent.

May those we have lost rest in power. And may justice find those responsible.

Appreciation to Crown Queen Nyajuma Jock Gatwech

On behalf of myself and my entire family, I wish to extend our deepest and most heartfelt appreciation to Crown Queen Nyajuma Jock Gatwech for her generous and timely support during one of the most painful moments of our lives.

Her kind contribution played a key role in helping facilitate my journey home to Fangak and in organizing the funeral rites for my beloved younger brother and our uncle, who tragically lost their lives in New Fangak.

It is with deep gratitude that I acknowledge Nyajuma Jock Gatwech as the first person to offer her support—an act of true leadership, compassion, and solidarity that touched our hearts in ways words cannot fully express.

We also thank our two dear brothers from Sudan, Muhanet Adam and Nazar Musa, who presented the contribution on her behalf. Your presence and help brought great comfort to our family.
