My thoughts on the replacement of Turalei interim head coach, Costa James.
First, I want to acknowledge our tireless support for our team, both financially and emotionally. Turalei FC is one of the most disciplined teams, if not the only one.
From management to players, let’s try to separate soccer from community associations or politics. It is vital that those who understand football lead in all areas of the game. The decision to hire a coach should not be a community recommendation; it is the responsibility of the president and his team to decide.
Replacing Coach Costa due to language barriers is degrading. When he was appointed to replace Bol Garang, we were already two games down in the pecking order, and no one expected miracles, however, due to his experience and dedication, he changed the team's trajectory, and here we are now.
To make it short, if Coach Costa's demotion from head coach to assistant is solely based on language barriers, then he should have remained in his position and appointed Angok or another deemed individual as his assistant. This decision should not require rocket science.
To my president, I am not disputing your decision, but I urge you to review this appointment.
