Friends, in every generation, the church is called to contend with challenges that test the sincerity of its faith and the unity of its body. These trials often bring refinement, but they can also lead to fracture. The Seventh-day Adventist Church, like many movements born in the fires of revival, has witnessed both the beauty of spiritual awakening and the heartbreak of division.
This book, Adventist Offshoots, is not a condemnation, but a contemplation. It surveys the history of notable Adventist offshoots—groups that, for reasons of doctrine, governance, conscience, or crisis, chose to walk apart. It seeks not to belittle these movements, but to understand them, and in understanding, help us all walk more wisely.
Charles Yor has approached this delicate topic with both the curiosity of a historian and the heart of a believer. His call is timely, particularly for young Adventists who may be tempted to disengage from the church body in the face of its flaws.
May this work serve as both a mirror and a compass, helping us reflect on our spiritual identity while navigating toward unity and truth.
beginning from tomorrow, we’ll give a little briefing on how the SDA Church came about, and how the disagreements pub up over evolving doctrines.
in this, we will list a number of break-away splinter groups, their reasons and what the church says about their reasons of leaving the church. this we'll use the Scriptures and the Spirit of Prophecy to examine their stance.
please tune to this page if you want the question in your mind about the SDA Church answered.
Blessings 🙌
