VILAKATI SHARES THE LOVE: Man of the match Mancoba Vilakati, who scored the winning goal against Highlanders and pocketed E2 500, has promised to share his prize with the rest of the team.

Looking ahead to their clash with Nsingizini Hotspurs, Vilakati said the focus must be on the present, not past encounters. “They’re a strong team, but so are we,” he added. “We’ll give it our all and take it one game at a time.”

SWALLOWS CLAIM BRAGGING RIGHTS: Mbabane Highlanders turned up the pressure in the second half, pushing hard in search of an equaliser. Chance after chance came and went. Despite their sustained attacks, the breakthrough never arrived.

When the final whistle blew, Mbabane Swallows had held on to a 1–0 victory, claiming the bragging rights in this fiery Mbabane Derby. Highlanders fans filed out quietly, while the Swallows’ supporters erupted in celebration, making their joy heard across Mavuso Sports Centre.

MBABANE DERBY: Things just got even more interesting for Mbabane Swallows. At half-time at Mavuso Sports Centre, Young Zesh, dressed in a Swallows replica, had the supporters on their feet with an energetic performance. He treated fans to his hit songs and a special track dedicated to Mbabane Swallows titled “Maswayi sway sinitsandsa nonkhe”, reflecting on the club’s past glory and its journey to where it stands today.

MBABANE DERBY: Mbabane Swallows’ stand has erupted into song and celebration after Mancoba Vilakati struck the opening goal, putting his side 1–0 ahead of Highlanders as the first half continues at Mavuso Sports Centre.

The funeral service of Princess Nunu Johnson is under way at KaMfishane, as family and friends mourn her sudden and tragic death.

Johnson was fatally stabbed at her matrimonial home in Motshane, allegedly by her husband, Themba Ginindza. Ginindza was later found hanging from a wattle tree in a nearby forest, about a kilometre from his homestead.

He was wanted by police in connection with the murder at the time of his death.
