ဘာကြောင့် "Moana" ကို ကြည့်ရှုရင်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာလေ့လာသင့်သလဲ။

"Moana" ကာတွန်းရုပ်ရှင်ထဲမှာ ဇာတ်ကောင်တွေရဲ့ စကားပြောဆိုမှုတွေဟာ ရှင်းလင်းပြတ်သားပြီး နားလည်ရလွယ်ကူတဲ့ အတွက် အင်္ဂလိပ်စာလေ့လာနေသူတွေအတွက် အလွန်ထိရောက်တဲ့ ဇာတ်ကားပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

My name is John and I'm from Germany and I'm here with my girlfriend Laura for vacation.

But like originally we made a trip to Australia, but we're on our way back and spend around two and a half weeks in Thailand, just like visiting some cities and do some hiking.

And then we took the night train to Chiang Mai, had just a little glimpse into the city.

Now we're here in the national park and then we plan to drive back to Bangkok in six days.

So yeah, we took the train into Chiang Mai and we walked all the way up here to the campsite.

And today it was the last section of up to here. just by walking.

So what is your plan to end next day today or next day?

Next day we would like to visit the summit of Doi Pui, maybe have a short walk there.

And then there's also Doi Pui village.

Maybe we have a walk to the village, but we stay here for three days.

And can you give advice for how to improve your English skill?
အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားပြောစွမ်းရည် တိုးတက်အောင် ဘယ်လိုလုပ်ရမလဲဆိုတာ အကြံဉာဏ်လေး ပေးလို့ရမလား။

First of all, I think English is a quite easy language to learn compared to, for example, German.
ပထမဆုံးအနေနဲ့၊ ဥပမာ ဂျာမန်ဘာသာစကားနဲ့ နှိုင်းယှဉ်ရင် အင်္ဂလိပ်စာက တော်တော်လေး လေ့လာရလွယ်ကူတဲ့ ဘာသာစကားတစ်ခုလို့ ကျွန်တော်ထင်ပါတယ်။

I mean, I'm from Germany, it's my native language. But I always say don't try to learn it unless you really have to, because it's very difficult.
ဆိုလိုတာက ကျွန်တော်က ဂျာမနီကလေ၊ ဒါက ကျွန်တော့်ရဲ့ မိခင်ဘာသာစကားပေါ့။ ဒါပေမဲ့ ကျွန်တော်အမြဲပြောလေ့ရှိတာကတော့ တကယ်တမ်းမလိုအပ်ဘဲနဲ့တော့ အဲဒါကို သင်ယူဖို့မကြိုးစားပါနဲ့၊ ဘာလို့လဲဆိုတော့ သူက အရမ်းခက်လို့ပါပဲ။

Lots of special cases. How do you form words and sentences?
ခြွင်းချက်တွေ အများကြီးပဲ။ စကားလုံးတွေ၊ ဝါကျတွေ ဘယ်လိုဖွဲ့စည်းရသလဲဆိုတာတွေပေါ့။

And English is quite easy. So the grammar is not so complicated, tenses are not so complicated, but I think that's even more important.
အင်္ဂလိပ်စာကတော့ တော်တော်လွယ်ပါတယ်။ သဒ္ဒါကလည်း သိပ်မရှုပ်ထွေးဘူး၊ Tense တွေကလည်း သိပ်မရှုပ်ထွေးဘူး၊ ဒါပေမဲ့ ပိုပြီးအရေးကြီးတာတစ်ခုရှိသေးတယ်လို့ ကျွန်တော်ထင်တယ်။

You can get around with quite a basic English.
တော်ရုံတန်ရုံ အခြေခံအင်္ဂလိပ်စာတတ်ရုံနဲ့ အဆင်ပြေပြေ သွားလာပြောဆိုလို့ရပါတယ်။

So like when you think about Shakespeare, you can make English quite complicated and advanced, but you don't have to.
ဆိုတော့ ရှိတ်စပီးယားခေတ်ကလို စာပေဆန်ဆန် စကားလုံးတွေနဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာကို အရမ်းရှုပ်ထွေးပြီး အဆင့်မြင့်အောင်လုပ်လို့ရပေမယ့်၊ အဲဒီလိုလုပ်စရာမလိုပါဘူး။

If you just know some basic words and can build basic sentences, you can get around and people can adapt their language and, like, describe things if they don't know the word.
သင်က အခြေခံစကားလုံးတချို့သိပြီး ရိုးရှင်းတဲ့ဝါကျတွေ တည်ဆောက်နိုင်ရုံနဲ့ အဆင်ပြေပြေသွားလာနိုင်ပြီ၊ တခြားသူတွေကလည်း သူတို့ရဲ့စကားကို ညှိပြီးပြောနိုင်သလို၊ သင်မသိတဲ့စကားလုံးကို သူတို့က တခြားနည်းနဲ့ ဖော်ပြပေးနိုင်ပါတယ်။

And then I think it's all about practicing. So, like, get a good basis, maybe at university or in the school, but then just go out and speak English to other people. That will make you better.

I would say good pronunciation . I don't know. It's tricky. It's a tricky language to learn.
ကျွန်မပြောချင်တာကတော့ အသံထွက်ကောင်းဖို့ပါ။ သိပ်တော့မပြောတတ်ဘူး။ သူက သင်ယူရခက်တဲ့ ဘာသာစကားတစ်ခုလေ။

The hardest part because most people in Southeast Asia usually struggle with grammar. Do you have any advice to give on that?

Yeah, I guess it's just sentence structure is, is the important part grammar altogether? It's pretty easy to figure out what people are. Are trying to say whether they use the correct grammar or not. But , I guess it's. It's more sentence structure and which words the place before other words.

I see. So is there any like TV shows or movie series you would like to recommend to the student to the learners?

My sister was a teacher and she taught a different language and often a bunch of children shows and everything. Even if you put the captions on so you can read along. Yeah, do. Do an English show with the French captions or, or vice versa or whatever. So I feel like that's a good way to learn because you're reading and hearing at the same time.

That's interesting. What's the favorite... What's your favorite part of your job?
စိတ်ဝင်စားစရာပဲ။ အကြိုက်ဆုံး... ကိုယ့်အလုပ်ရဲ့ ဘယ်အပိုင်းကို အကြိုက်ဆုံးလဲ။

I just love painting a lot. I really, really love painting. So I get to do what I love. And that's such a privilege, and I'm really grateful for that.

Yeah, we've been here for, I think... Well, we've been down for like, a week, but then we've been traveling in Southeast Asia for, like, five months. No, that's not true.
ဟုတ်၊ ကျွန်မတို့ ဒီမှာရောက်နေတာ... ကျွန်မထင်တယ်။ အင်း၊ ဒီဘက်ကိုရောက်နေတာ တစ်ပတ်လောက်ရှိပြီ၊ ဒါပေမဲ့ အရှေ့တောင်အာရှမှာ ခရီးသွားနေတာကကျတော့... ငါးလလောက်ရှိပြီ။။

And in the start, we came to Chiang Mai. So we were in Chiang Mai for almost two weeks, and now another week. So I come around.
အစတုန်းက ချင်းမိုင်ကိုလာခဲ့တယ်။ အဲဒီတော့ ချင်းမိုင်မှာ နှစ်ပတ်နီးပါးလောက်နေခဲ့ပြီး၊ အခု နောက်ထပ်တစ်ပတ်ပေါ့။ ဒီလိုပဲ လျှောက်သွားနေတာပါ။

What do you think is the most important factor in, like, starting to learn English?
အင်္ဂလိပ်စာစလေ့လာတဲ့အခါမှာ... အရေးကြီးဆုံးအချက်က ဘာလို့ထင်လဲ။

I think with... When you're learning any language, it's just to get over the, like, oh, if I say it wrong, what if they judge me? Like, I'm gonna sound stupid. Like, you're not gonna sound stupid. You sound, like, probably pretty good, you know, like, everyone's got a different level.

ကျွန်မထင်တာကတော့... ဘယ်ဘာသာစကားကိုမဆို လေ့လာတဲ့အခါ၊ "အိုး... ငါမှားပြောမိရင် ဘယ်လိုလုပ်မလဲ၊ သူတို့က ငါ့ကို ဝေဖန်ကြမလား" "ငါပြောလိုက်ရင် အထင်သေးစရာ ဖြစ်နေမှာပဲ။" ဆိုတဲ့... အကြောက်တရားကို ကျော်လွှားဖို့ပါပဲ။ သင်က အဲဒီလို ဖြစ်နေမှာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ သင့်စကားပြောက တော်တော်ကောင်းနေလောက်မှာပါ၊ လူတိုင်းက အဆင့်တစ်ခုစီမှာ ရှိကြတာပဲလေ။

I think. I think not having any, like, shame or embarrassment and just going for it is the best way.
ကျွန်မထင်တယ်။ ရှက်တာတွေ၊ အားနာတာတွေ ဘာမှမရှိဘဲနဲ့ ရဲရဲကြီးသာ ပြောချလိုက်တာက အကောင်းဆုံးနည်းလမ်းပါပဲ။

Can you give some advice on learning grammar to help the students learn English grammar?
ကျောင်းသားတွေ အင်္ဂလိပ်သဒ္ဒါလေ့လာဖို့အတွက် အကြံဉာဏ်ပေးလို့ရမလား။

Not really. I'm dyslexic, so I'm not very good at grammar. I have problems with writing, so I wouldn't be the person to ask, to be honest.
တကယ်တော့ မပေးတတ်ဘူး။ ကျွန်မက dyslexic (စာဖတ်စွမ်းရည်ချို့ယွင်းသူ) ဖြစ်တော့ သဒ္ဒါမှာ သိပ်မတော်ဘူး။ ကျွန်မမှာ စာရေးတာနဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး ပြဿနာတွေရှိတော့၊ ပွင့်ပွင့်လင်းလင်းပြောရရင် မေးရမယ့်လူ မဟုတ်ဘူးပေါ့။
