Thanksgiving is supposed to be about family and food, right? Not this year. My plans? Completely ruined. My boss had other ideas—an urgent trip across the country for "work business," as if I had a choice. If I didn't handle Lori's census, my job was toast. So, I packed up my disappointment and boarded a plane.

Then came Justin—a hilarious guy seated next to me who cracked jokes like he was on a comedy tour. Honestly, he was the only bright spot in an otherwise awful day. Until we landed and things got worse—a massive snowstorm shut down the entire city. No hotels, no options... until Justin showed up again, like some kind of cosmic joke, and offered me a place to crash. He seemed safe enough, so I said yes.
