Betta Tussyae. Latest additions in the fish room, and the new inhabitants of the low pH blackwater tank. A pair of wild Betta Tussyae. B. Tussyae is native to eastern peninsular Malaysia and like so many other wild Betta species they are threatened by agricultural development, deforestation and urban development.

Ummm soooo, 4 unknown fry popped up in the blackwater tank meant for a pair of F1 Betta Tussyae arriving soon from Manoon Sinkhongpong Probably Lamp eye rasbora from one of my other tanks. I transferred some floaters.

The 30 gallon is 3 weeks old today. Time for the first real maintenance. The stems have gone berserk with the 2x60W Hygger lights. Honestly expected more algae. Still more adjustments to do. The canister filter was already seeded with bacteria from another tank. All the fish are doing great and growing.

Absolutely stunning colors on some of these Lambchop Rasporas (Trigonostigma espei) Only one hour after adding to the tank. After the photos were taken several more colored up in similar fashion. 😍 Purchased locally here in Bangkok from Aloha Aquarium Thank you again for always looking after quality 🙏
