🖊️ We had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Thanakorn Uiphanit, Lecturer of the Digital Content Management Program, and Ms. Phachaya Chaichana, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, to explore the possibility of organizing a Scientific Publishing Workshop (SPW) and to hear their perspectives on academic publishing.

Dr. Thanakorn expressed interest in hosting an SPW session. We were delighted to hear their positive outlook on Open Access publishing and had engaging discussions on journal indexing, especially in the Thai Citation Index (TCI). They also welcomed the opportunity to learn more about MDPI’s rigorous editorial process and gained insights into our platforms including Scilit, Preprints, and Sciforum.

We’re excited about the potential to collaborate and support the research community at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. 🇹🇭📚

🎉 MDPI Thailand ยินดีต้อนรับ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ (มจพ.) เข้าร่วมโครงการ Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP) กับ MDPI 🇹🇭📚

ความร่วมมือนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของ MDPI ในการสนับสนุนการเผยแพร่งานวิจัยแบบเปิด (Open Access) ในประเทศไทยและภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยนักวิจัย คณาจารย์ และบุคลากรจาก มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ (มจพ.) จะได้รับ ส่วนลดค่าธรรมเนียมการตีพิมพ์ (APCs) 10% จากวารสารทุกฉบับของ MDPI พร้อมทั้งสามารถเข้าถึงระบบติดตามสถานะบทความ (SuSy) ที่อำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่ผู้ใช้งาน และมีความโปร่งใส

ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นภายใต้การหารือระหว่าง Mr. Stefan Tochev ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารของบริษัท MDPI กับรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. มาลินี ศรีอริยนันท์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัย และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พยุง มีสัจ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักหอสมุดกลาง โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยและทีมงานหอสมุดเป็นอย่างดี

🎉 We are excited to welcome King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand to MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP). 🇹🇭📚

This partnership reinforces MDPI’s commitment to supporting open access publishing in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Researchers affiliated with KMUTNB now benefit from a 𝟭𝟬% 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 on APCs for all MDPI journals, along with access to a transparent submission dashboard (SuSy) for easy tracking and visibility of their publishing activities.

This collaboration was made possible through discussions between MDPI’s CEO Mr. Stefan Tochev and KMUTNB representatives, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Malinee Sriariyanun, Assistant to the President and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phayung Meesad, Director of the Library Office, with support from the university and library management teams.

🥰 Last month, we had a warm discussion with Dr. Suwimol Wongsakulphasatch, Department of Chemical Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, to hear her thoughts on serving as a Guest Editor with Processes MDPI.

Dr. Suwimol shared her positive publishing experience with MDPI. She appreciated the professional and efficient editorial process, noting that MDPI offers a level of service comparable to traditional publishers.

She mentioned the potential collaboration through conference activities and is interested in co-hosting events with MDPI to boost research output and university rankings.

🌟 We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Saeid Jafari, researcher at Chulalongkorn University, to learn about his experience with MDPI and discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Dr. Jafari shared that his experience with MDPI has been overwhelmingly positive. He regularly submits papers to our journals and actively contributes as a reviewer, praising MDPI’s fast editorial process, the support of researchers, and the engagement from academic editors and reviewers.

Dr. Jafari values our timely communication and transparency, and he emphasized the importance of such qualities in driving impactful academic progress.

🙏 It is also our honour to meet Associate Professor Kitipong Assatarakul, the Head of the Department of Food Microbiology. We look forward to deepening our collaboration in the future.
