Received the blessing of Master Preecha ( Wat Pong ,Wiang Nuea , Pai ) to help engrave these rare amulets.

Tung at Wat Thung Pong , Pai

The word "Tung" is a local term from Northern Thailand, referring to a type of flag used for hanging in Lanna art. It can be seen in the northern region of Thailand.

• People in the North use the Tung as decoration or in various ceremonies, including religious rites, traditions, festivals, and celebrations.

• The materials used to make Tung in Lanna are diverse, including fabric, paper, wood, metal, brass, or palm leaves. These materials are hung from the end of a wooden pole, creating a long, hanging piece.

• According to Lanna beliefs, Tung made for Buddhist offerings is used in religious ceremonies, both auspicious and inauspicious. The size, shape, and details of the Tung can vary based on local beliefs and rituals.

• Nevertheless, the people of Lanna believe that offering a Tung brings great merit and blessings, promoting peace and happiness. Some traditions even hold that after death, the soul will ascend to heaven, or if one falls to hell, the Tung's banner will sway and pull the soul up from hell to the heavens.
