🪼 Beachgoers are advised to stay alert as Portuguese Man o’ War sightings have recently increased along Kata Beach, Kata Noi Beach, and Karon Beach.

This marine creature can be identified by its translucent blue or purple float that resembles a small sail drifting on the water’s surface. Beneath it are long tentacles that contain powerful venom and can remain dangerous even after washing ashore.

Contact with the tentacles may cause intense burning pain, skin irritation, and severe allergic reactions in some individuals, requiring immediate medical attention.

🚫If you spot one on the beach or in the water, do not touch it. Keep a safe distance and notify local authorities or lifeguards to help protect other visitors.
