Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, has said that the first payments for the platform’s ad revenue sharing program will include all the earnings since it started in February.

To be eligible for ad revenue sharing, users need to have a Twitter Blue subscription, a Stripe account for payment, and have generated more than 5 million tweet views every month for the past three months.

Last month, Musk shared that the initial payments for creators would total $5 million. Recently, one of the most popular meme pages on Twitter, called Internet Hall of Fame, revealed that they received an impressive payout of $107,274.

Twitter has sent emails to selected users, letting them know that eligible creators will receive their share of ad revenue in the next three days.

Airbnb used social listening to generate millions of impressions in 24 hours.

The article explains how Airbnb had an impromptu opportunity to work with a popular influencer named Alix Earle. Earle’s video about her group getting stranded in Italy racked up over 3.9 million views and caught the attention of the social media team at Airbnb who quickly sprung into action.

Within 24 hours, Airbnb arranged for the group to stay in a villa nearby, seemingly saving the day. Earle went on TikTok again to share how Airbnb reached out to help and posted a tour of the villa the group moved to for the duration of their stay in Italy.

This video has over 3.8 million views, painting Airbnb in a positive light. While the details of the exchange are unclear (Did Airbnb comp the group’s stay at the Villa? How much was the group’s stay worth?), Airbnb has earned nearly 4 million impressions from Earle’s post likely for less than her typical $70,000 fee.

When the Airbnb social media team caught wind of an impromptu opportunity to work with a popular influencer, they jumped on it. Here’s how quick thinking and social listening generated millions of impressions for the brand.
