The bullet train from Chengdu to Chongqing covers approximately 320km in just 1h/30m. Top speed is around 360km/h. You can sit back in comfort and watch the scenery go by at warp speed. What a cool experience I will do again in 4 days! 🚆😎

If you had told a younger version of me I would live in Thailand for many years and someday visit China and Vietnam, I would never have believed you.

In my formative years, I never had any ambitions to broaden my horizons, see the world, or do anything remotely interesting with my life.

To the contrary, my lofty goal was to graduate college, get a regular job like all my peers, and tow the company line until maybe my 50s, at which point I'd hopefully retire and then die of natural causes.

However, I eventually woke up and realized the boring conventional life path wasn't for me. I wanted to do something different and think outside the "status quo".

It all took a complete 180° turn when I visited Costa Rica about 9 years ago...

This was the first country I visited outside the US and from that point forward I was hooked on world travel.

Shortly thereafter, I backpacked through South America for almost an entire year -- all the way from Panama City to Patagonia in Chile.

At the time, I was referring hosts to join Airbnb just to pay expenses during my solo backpacking trip. This trip was the most incredible experience of my life, but also mentally and physically exhausting.

It wasn't until I visited Thailand in early 2020 that I finally found my spot in the world, met my lovely fiancé, and decided to settle down on the beautiful island of Koh Samui.

Finding a happy home base doesn't mean I won't continue traveling the world, but I've realized the glamorous "digital nomad" lifestyle is no longer for me.

They say, not all those who wander are lost, but many of them are in fact always searching externally for what's already inside.

These days, I decide to travel much more intentionally, and not on a whim just because of my naturally anxious personality.

At the end of every passing day, you must do whatever makes you happy. And that's my definition of true success.

Money is simply a tool to do the things you want to do in life. It's not and never will be my end goal.

Here's to broadening your horizons! ✨

Our Story

Hello! My name is Mike Holp. I'm an international travel photographer, digital marketer, and creative entrepreneur from Austin, Texas. I'm very passionate about adventure travel! My curiosity and wanderlust has already taken me across the country multiple times and I've made it a priority in my life to visit many of the most beautiful national parks in the world. In 2017, I had the unique opportunity of filming tours in Costa Rica for a few months, all expenses paid. Afterward, I traveled through Central America by myself for over a month -- staying at hostels, riding buses, and meeting new friends from around the world. In January 2108, I bought a one-way plane ticket to Panama City with the dream of reaching my destination of Torres del Paine in Patagonia, Southern Chile. The dream became a reality after traveling for over 10 months! His first professional camera was a Canon T1i, followed by an upgrade to the 7D, then the Sony A6000, and currently the Alpha 7! This uncertain career path has continued to evolve into the realm of aerial photography. He's getting tons of free exposure through local popular blogs and social media. Mike is currently making great strides to break into the real estate markets in Austin! He is one of the most friendly and down-to-earth people you will meet and truly embodies the business tagline, “Follow Your Passion!”
