According to South African Tourism’s Departure Survey (2025), South Africa 🇿🇦 faces a stark reality: 91% of international travellers visit only 1️⃣ province, while just 9% travel to more than 1️⃣ province

✨ The primary driver of single-province travel is visiting friends & relatives, whereas multi-province travel is largely driven by holidays
✨ Travellers visiting multiple provinces skew older. Those visiting only 1️⃣ province are predominantly younger & travel alone, with a strong orientation toward socializing & visiting friends & relatives

She got surprised 👩🏻😲😯 when she read about this analysis. Hmm…True enough as she as a travel lover 💖✈️🧳🎒 would prefer to stay longer during each holiday & explore more destinations 😃😁 In fact, from her recent 1️⃣st travel experience to South Africa, it’s domestic travel is very easy convenient & well connected. She was travelled pleasant comfortably with Airlink airlines ✈️ from Johannesburg, Gauteng province to Hoedspruit, Limpopo province 💯👍🏻

Sienny Yong aka Siennylovesdrawing 👩🏻 enjoyed learning part of Nelson Mandela👨🏿‍💼’s story from her recent visit to Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa 🌟🏨🛌🏻🛋️🇿🇦, a luxury boutique hotel offers 5️⃣-star accommodation

She has observed this hotel walls are adorned with drawings & photographs of "Madiba" at various stages of his life, from his law office to his time in the boxing ring 🤩 Including the remarkable art 🖼️ collection, a series of original pencil ✏️ sketches "Foresight & Hindsight: The Five Faces of Mandela" by well known Dean Simon that highlights & reflects Nelson Mandela’s 👨🏿‍💼life journey

He👨🏿‍💼 found refuge in year 1990 after his release from prison, living here for approximately 6️⃣ months while his own home 🏠 was being prepared. He in fact used this space to prepare & write his own autobiographical✍🏻📜📖~ Long Walk to Freedom ~ , as well as his transition into post-apartheid life

His used space of 400m2 now featured as "Nelson Mandela Platinum Suite". However, during her recent visit, it was booked by a guest, hence not open for a visit

At Olive Bar, chic & cosy for leisurely conversations. She enjoyed a glass of mocktail 🍸 named Sweet Nothing a pre-dinner drink here. It’s prepared with basil 🌿, sugar snap pea 🫛, star anise & soda water. In fact, she was attracted to its name & assumed not sugar sweetened

She enjoyed dinner dining 🍽️ the nutty cranberry slice bread with brown butter. Her main meal choice of Scottish Salmon 👩🏻😋💯🍞🧈🐟 with beetroot & horseradish purée 💜, mushy peas 💚, chive & caviar beurre blanc GF, truly healthy delicious to enjoy @ Qunu. It's named in honour of Nelson Mandela's childhood home 🏡, birthplace & final resting place in Eastern Cape

Qunu is designed by a South African visionary Nelson Khubeka. It blends traditional charm with modern flair, adorned with captivating artworks from local talents. It offers a menu that honours the diversity & flavours of🇿🇦
