This historic square, formerly known as Plaza Alfonso XII, is where the Spanish forces officially surrendered to the Ilonggo revolutionaries led by Gen. Martin Delgado on Christmas Day, 1898. It was here that the flag of the First Philippine Republic was raised in triumph!

Located within the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Complex, this museum has a fascinating history. Built in 1911, it served as the Iloilo Provincial Jail for nearly a century before being beautifully transformed into a world-class museum. You can still see the original iron bars and prison architecture blended with a stunning modern glass-domed atrium!

Welcome to another stop on the rialbbe tv "Around the World" series! 🌍

Today, we are in the heart of Taipei, Taiwan, to witness one of the city's most famous traditions: the Changing of the Guards at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

Watch the incredible discipline and synchronized movements of the Republic of China (ROC) Military Honor Guard. Every hour, these guards perform a calculated drill, complete with polished boots, chrome helmets, and the rhythmic spinning of bayoneted rifles.

Important Tip for Travelers: Starting in late 2024, the ceremony has moved from the statue hall to the outdoor Democracy Boulevard. Because it is now held outside, the ceremony is weather-dependent and may be canceled during heavy rain!

Ceremony Times:

Every hour on the hour (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Duration: Approximately 15 minutes

Admission: Free!
