Yesterday night, Nigeriaâs Vice President, Kashim Shettima, arrived, and my daughter was among the children selected to welcome him with a bouquet of flowers.
After presenting the flowers, the organizers and security officials explained that no photographs would be taken because of security protocols. They made it clear that the visit was for official duties, not for photo opportunities.
When my daughter returned home, I asked her how everything went. She said, âMommy, I didnât take any pictures because they didnât allow us to take one after I gave him the flowers.â
I smiled and told her, âMy dear, donât be disappointed. You had the rare privilege of meeting the Vice President of Nigeria face to face. Not everyone gets such an opportunity. The experience itself is something to be proud of, and itâs a memory youâll always cherish.â
