JoVew is an accessory brand that specializes in handbags which is based in the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago. Our mission is to provide a wide range of high quality accessory products that are suited to package your personal items of your everyday life. JoVew was founded by Makisa Lewis-Lockiby, after graduating from the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design with her BA in Fine Arts in 2012
. She worked as an assistant designer in a fashion clothing company for a couple years, and after realizing that her passion was in the accessory industry, she then launched her accessory brand, JoVew by MAKISA in 2014. Since then, Makisa has been featured in local newspapers and magazines including 6 Carlos, Ampassion, and a Caribbean television series, Mission Catwalk. I feel fulfilled creating products for that woman who is always on the go, whether it be a luggage tag with their matching passport case, or a cross-body that is perfect for convenience or a simple tote that you can just pick up and go.
