Gunman in viral video shot dead by police hours after firing round into air

A man who was recorded openly brandishing a pistol and firing a shot into the air in videos circulated on social media was shot and killed by police during an operation in Union Hall, San Fernando, on Wednesday June 10th 2026.

The videos surfaced online during the early hours of June 10, 2026, sparking concern among members of the public and prompting an intensive police effort to locate the suspect.

Around 1:30 p.m., officers confronted the man at Building 32 Cypress Hills, Union Hall. During the operation, the suspect was shot.

He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The fatal shooting occurred just hours after videos showing the suspect walking in the community with the gun in hand and later discharging a round into the air circulated widely on social media, drawing public concern and triggering a police response.— Story by I.A.N News
