Rising new-generation actors Michael Chang and Jim Liu from DEADLINE were invited to attend the 2025 Taiwan Movies PLUS press conference on October 22.
In the film, Michael Chang plays Mo Zhe-Wei, the student council president who, under the influence of Principal Kung, believes that the pursuit of excellence is both a duty and an honor. He is admired by his classmates and regarded as a model representative of the school.

“Terrified yet honored.” That’s how Michael Chang described his first time acting opposite veteran actor Anthony Wong.
​
In DEADLINE, Chang plays Mo Zhe-Wei — a top-performing, strong-willed student council president. To rekindle that fearless fire, he rewatched old videos of himself leading class performances and studied footage of social movements. “I realized that those who stand on stage and shout are often driven by anger and passion.”
​
While shooting the pivotal auditorium scene, he stood shoulder to shoulder with his
classmates, shouting together. The director reminded him, “Mo Zhe-Wei is just a high school student who wants to make the environment better.” That line instantly brought tears to his eyes.
​
Chang also thanked director Kiwi Chow for his trust: “It felt like, in front of the camera, I would always be caught — no matter how I fell.”

The campus fantasy romance《夜半十一點學校見》has officially started filming, co‑produced by Taiwan’s Three‑Giant Production Co., Ltd. and Singapore’s MediaCorp Pte. Ltd. The story follows a high school student who can see ghosts and a girl yearning to reunite with her late grandfather. Together, they unravel a series of mysteries, exploring themes of love and loss, life and death. In this project, Michael takes on a completely different role — playing a bold, quick‑witted live streamer who brings unprecedented surprises and comedic energy. Filming is currently underway in both Singapore and Taiwan, with hopes to premiere in Q4 2026!
