Today I’m sharing a track I created a few months ago — something I’d describe as “Lofi Trap” or maybe “Trappy Lofi.”
It blends a soft, melancholic piano with subtle background textures and a deep, heavy bass. I really love the contrast between these two elements. For the best experience, I recommend listening with headphones so you can fully feel the low end.
The vocals are sampled from the movie Donnie Darko. This film had a huge impact on me, and especially the scene where these words appear — it resonated with what I was going through at the time. Including it in my music felt almost necessary, as a way to translate my feelings into sound.
I’m genuinely proud of how this track turned out, and I truly hope it speaks to you as much as it did to me while making it.
