Zebras may look peaceful, but life in the wild is driven by survival instincts. 🦓

In rare cases, a dominant stallion may kill a foal that is not his own after taking over a herd. This behavior, though shocking to witness, helps bring females back into breeding condition and allows the new male to pass on his genes.

Such sightings are more commonly observed during the calving season, when many foals are born and herd dynamics become more intense.

As we head into the dry season, the African wilderness transforms into one of the best times for wildlife viewing, big elephant herds, big lions prides , wildebeest migration, towers and travels of giraffes and many others in search of green pasture and prey for survival.

A hungry hyena trying to steal a bite from a zebra kill, but the lioness was clearly not in a sharing mood. Hyenas are known for constantly challenging lionesses at kills, using their numbers, persistence, and boldness to test every opportunity for an easy meal. In the wild, every kill becomes a battle of survival and dominance.

Giraffe mating is one of the most fascinating behaviors in the wild 🦒

Before mating, a male giraffe gently nudges the female to encourage her to urinate. He then samples the urine to determine whether she is fertile and ready to mate. Once the female is receptive, the male follows closely until she stands still, allowing a brief mating process that may be repeated several times.

A lucky morning for this leopard as he enjoys a massive giraffe carcass right beside a pond a rare and incredible sight in the wild.

Can a leopard hunt a giraffe? Surprisingly, yes but usually only young or vulnerable giraffes. Adult giraffes are extremely powerful and dangerous prey due to their size and deadly kicks. In most cases, a leopard feeding on a giraffe carcass may have scavenged it or taken advantage of a weakened animal.

I wish your next Trip should be to Tanzania , the beautiful nature awaits!
