LEADERS EMPHASIS CLIMATE RESILIENCE AT 97TH AGRICULTURE SHOW

Zambia's President Hakainde Hichilema and Botswana's President Gideon Duma Boko toured the exhibition stands at the 97th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka. The event, themed "Adapting to Climate Change," showcased the country's progress in embracing climate-smart agricultural practices.
During the tour, President Hichilema expressed gratitude to the farmers for their resilience and dedication, which has yielded abundant harvests despite the drought of 2024. He encouraged the adoption of modern technologies and irrigation systems to maintain productivity during challenging conditions.
"We are pleased to witness our farmers swiftly embracing climate-smart agricultural practices," President Hichilema said. "Despite the drought of 2024, our farmers remained steadfast, ensuring food security for our nation."
President Hichilema also appreciated President Boko for accepting his invitation and gracing the event with his presence. The visit highlights the strong bilateral relations between Zambia and Botswana.
